We need to just get shots on goal. From the point, odd angles, behind the net, whatever. Make the rookie save it, enough of this pass it around bullshit only to have the shot blocked in front because we took too damn long to pull the trigger.

The officiating is ridiculous, although I understand that these things usually even out.....however that slashing call on Hagelin and the non call on Cally were both ridiculous and instrumental in the outcome of the game..these refs seem to do their best to have a direct impact on the game. Not taking anything away fromt he Caps who are playing tough, and capitalizing on their chances, but christ, the Rangers gave them Game 2 and the refs gave them Game 4. the fact that Ovechkin, who blatantly disregarded the puck and left his feet for a head shot wasn't even called in for a talk let alone not being suspended is outrageous. hopefully the Rangers can control their emotions tonight, becasuse by all accounts they were steamed after the last game.

we shoot plenty. Wwe just NEVER hit the net. Our point men are totally inept at hitting the net. Girardi and MDZ being the biggest culprits. Stepan and AA also have trouble finding the net.
the caps are doing a good job of getting in the lanes, if anything i think the rangers are shooting at the moon instead of the goal, everything gets blocked or hits the glass.
I was watching Canada vs the US, and the announcer said how do you get shots thru went when they are in the shooting lanes and the color guy said elevate your shot and they won't stay in that spot...makes sense, who wants a puck in the face...
