Revi$ will have 4 good corners to watch play football from his couch this season.

Coleman was the board's favorite whipping boy for years, and he is not a very good cover guy. However, he was a playmaker for the Jets at the end last time he was here, especially when it came to forcing fumbles.

Let's just hope that he doesn't play against Peyton Manning in a playoff game.

However, was he himself a playmaker or is Rex and Petine the "playmakers" who subbed Coleman into a role he could handle. Same for Maybin. I think probably its Rex. After Tanny gets his "effectiveness of draft" stats up, Coleman was toast. Others hopefully easily fill the role, probably a late round draft pick to help Tanny fill his eefectiveness of draft role.

If it was just Rex and Pettine, why didn't anyone in the Jets secondary produce nearly what Coleman did in terms of blitzing last year? He might not be great in coverage, but he was getting better and Rex found a role he really did well in as a blitzing CB.

Are the people saying "do not want, burned in coverage" even reading why people would think he would be a good signing?

I don't mean this as a knock on Coleman, but it seemed like the blitzes that Rex used so much of when he arrived, and often featured Dbacks, dropped off a lot from '09 to '10 and even more so in '11. I hope that trend reverses this season now that we've added some speed and pass rushing ability to the front 7.

As several other people have already mentioned, if they brought him back to be a dime/situational guy I wouldn't have anything against it as they're pretty thin at CB behind our top 3. He just shouldn't ever be out there one on one with WRs in coverage.
