i thought that call on Richards for tripping was awfully questionable with a little over 3 minutes left, he was playing the puck clearly, that was a tense penalty kill late in the 3rd. no morning skate today, they've earned it. home ice has been regained, they have already done their job, another game like that from henrik and they will take this series in less than 7. far from over in every respect , but i think they are playing better hockey than the caps so far.
Eastern Conference Finals ticket presale today on ticketmaster. Rangers page posted on facebook. Pass code is NYRFB for anyone interested.
Kind of bad luck - wrong place, wrong time for where Richards had his stick but it's a call that has to be made. He got his stick in the feet of the defenseman and he went down.
but his stick clearly hit the puck first, i must disagree on this one with you. definitely not a blatant trip, and i had worries that the game would end as game 2 did with that late powerplay goal on the ticky tac call on Richards again.
Seems a bit early to be thinking ECF, but I am really interested to see if the Caps come out strong in Game 4 or fold. This will be Dale Hunter's toughest coaching moment to date.
I knew someone was gonna have a comment on that. It's not me saying it's a lock for the Rangers to make it after last night or anything, and it's not a jinx that the Rangers are putting the tickets on sale. It's normal practice of any of the teams to put tickets on sale before the previous series is complete. Just an FYI for anyone that's trying to get their hands on tickets.
whatever.....it sucks, disrespect to the NHL, I know the derby is that day and shit. terrible time to broadcast an important playoff game. also....as much as I'm ok with ditching my family occasionally to watch a game and toss down some beers....it's a little tougher to sell at lunchtime on Saturday. "Mommy, why is daddy screaming at the tv again?...."Daddy's drunk and pissed off at the game honey...now you go outside and play"
