Great game last night. I fell asleep after the 2nd OT, but I can only imagine how excited you Rangers fans are.
Lots to talk about last night. What a fucking ginosterous win. Ginosterous. Henry was penenomenal, but all you idiots know this so lets talk about some other things Gaborik is absolute dog shit. Worse than dog shit. And thats counting the GWG. He should apologize to his team. Richards- was actually worse than Gabs last night. Ive never seen anyone so indecisive with the puck in my life ( except for one play thankfully). How on earth Torts puts him on teh point for the PPs is mind boggling! He is absolutely atrocious there. He continues to hesitate and moves the puck sooooo slowly. He is a huge reason this PP is worse than embarrassing right now. HAgelin- guys, lets be honest. It looks like teh stage is a little too big for him right now. Just watch him play compared to Kreider. Hags islost. He skates up and down the ice as fast as the wind...but has done absolutely nothing. I cant remember a shot on goal from him in 4 games. Bickel-- Not sure how u dress a guy if hes not gonna play at this point. He wasnt bad last night in his 4 minutes. Once you bench him like that, its a bigger risk to throw him in the OT after being ice cold than it is to make the other guys play without him but Torts fucked up big time. That CANNOT happen again. Strlman played his worst game as a Ranger last night-easily. He got caught about 14 times. That time in whatever OT it was when they showed Sully yelling at him was long overdue...that should have happened in the 1st period. I love Stralman but he sucked a black cock last night. Callahan is like no other player in the league. Unreal. we are getting zero offensive production out of two full lines now. NO bueno. Boyle has turned back into a pumpkin offensively...Prust gives you nuttin, Rupp, Mitchell, AA, the llist goes on. We NEED to get something more out of those two lines. Dare I suggest we miss Dubi?
Awesome win. Long awaited OT win since Roszy's blast from the point in '07. Who was bitching the other day about the ice at the Garden being bad? I've never seen so many guys lose their edge as I did last night; not even talking OT, all game long. That ice must have been horrendous.
To be honest, I thought Hagelin played well, not just because the NBC crew said so. I'll agree that Kreider has been a stand out, but I don't think that's a knock on Hags. I told one of my friends who was watching with me. Dubi, even for playing like garbage, is still a legitimate scoring threat on a low level line. It's someone that has the skill buried somewhere in him to do some damage. They for sure miss that.
I think it's clear that Callahan reads this thread, and was spurred on to greater efforts by jonnyd's posts. In fact, I'm told that after the game during a locker room interview he dedicated his goal to "that little fat bloke who was rude about me on the internet".
The only guys I had issues with last night were Gabby...who coasted all night, but at least made amends with the goal and few other chances....and Stralman, who made my heart skip a beat every time he was near the puck. Yeah,and if Torts is gonna nail a guy to the bench, then why dress him..don't get that either. Everyone else poured everything into that game......how could you have issues with Boyle.........jeez the guy took one to the face, played his ass off.....if he just would have got it out of the way on Rupps shot it would've ended earlier. Mentally/emotionally drained as a fan.......playoff hockey, I think I need to go into training just to deal with it, gotta love it.
hope your right, loved him when he scored, but he's the only guy on the ice, on both teams, that's still playing at regular season speed/intensity.
