hate to state the somewhat obvious, but winner tonight will take the series eventually. As always with this team, I'm not sure what to expect........hoping at least a better performance from Hank and maybe a friggin goal from Gaborik although we've all been saying that for 8 games or so now.

yeah, I always feel that the Game 3 winner in a 1-1 series will eventually take it, I think the stats would back me up on that too

The stats may show an edge to the game 3 winner but you have to take series by series.

again, just my opinion and gut feel, perhaps stating the obvious was the wrong word choice.......hopefully works in our favor

Obviously I would rather win tonight, but if we lose, I still think we are in great shape if we win Game 4 and regain home ice...I still say we play better on the road...

My biggest confidence is this: The Rangers have split the first two games with Lundqvist not playing his best goal. He hasn't been bad at all, but certainly not his best.

I'm sure if you've got the time you can dig em up

again i'm pretty sure I've heard this stat mentioned on many a hockey playoff telecast...perhaps a sign i watch too much sports on TV......watch/listen they'll throw it out there tonight.

Tortorella said Brandon Dubinsky (lower body) did make the trip and he was seen in the Rangers’ room without any apparent casts/wraps/crutches/bandages/etc.

The Rangers seemed a loose, confident group during today’s morning skate with Game 3 against the Capitals tonight at the Verizon Center at 7:30 p.m. It doesn’t appear there will be any lineup changes tonight for the Rangers. Steve Eminger remained on the ice skating as an extra with Jeff Woywitka and when coach John Tortorella was asked about Stu Bickel, he certainly made it sound like Bickel was in the lineup. Andrew Gross on Twitter

Lundqvist, Pens' Malkin and Lightning's Steven Stamkos announced by NHLPA as finalists for Ted Lindsay Award as most outstanding player.

So that's Vezina, Hart and Lindsay nominations for Hank. Not bad.

Big game as usual tonight for the Captain...I wonder every game what idiot keeps the stats for bodychecks, when I see Cally throw at least 3-4 a shift and end the game with....BS!
