I don't know how the polling was done here... but based upon watching Cromartie trying to remember the name of his kids... then projecting that onto most of this league... I'm gonna say name recognition has something to do with this. Now had they said build your Madden or fantasy team, he probably doesn't make the cut.
Someone raised this point because Peyton is apparently on the list and he didn't play last year. But it is supposed to be "current" players.
I don't know but the Top100(dot)nfl(dot)com site may be the methodology. Regardless, that site will test your NFL player IQ.
This isn't meant to be a career list, it's a 2011 list. I don't think some people get that, Adrian Wilson included. "He hasn't done enough". He deserved to be on the list THIS YEAR. 2010? No. 2012? We'll see.

I would think most of these players treat this list with about as much seriousness as Claiborne treated the wonderlic. If I were voting, I would think it was hilarious to vote Tebow number 1 and then watch Tebow's team have to deal with more Tebowmania. Actually, the only other thing I can say is that a top 100 player who plays the QB position would be a starter and would bring back more than a 4th rounder in a trade. So when value actually mattered, Tebow is worth a fourth round pick, which puts him among the top 90-120 prospects in this year's draft, not the top 100 players in the league.
It's a real list , it's who the actual players thnk are the best. Nothing a disgruntled lions fan says about the list is going to matter since they wrap an entire television series around it, nfl players discuss it at length as a huge honor . You can't undo reality .

The actual guys on the field don't agree with you . The nfl players themselves are the ultimate judge. They voted Tebow one of the top 100 players not prospects and Tebow is not just a QB , he can pay multiple positions .
No, not at all. It's a garbage list that severely overrates name players. Suh was way too high last year and I imagine Stafford will be way too high this year. Stafford shouldn't be on the list IMO. One season worth of success or failure seems to way too heavily with this list. Only a moron would take this seriously or use it in any credible way.
