The players voted it, even though there is polarization. For the time being, the negative shouters have attempted to silence discussion about Tebow being a baller. But the players know, behind closed doors, that the kid can play. They mostly stay quiet. But when it comes to voting, they give him props.

There is a difference between being a good quarterback and good football player, don't forget that. Tim Tebow is already known as a great football player, him as a quarterback is still up for discussion. Does it make sense what I'm saying?

"I can throw better than Tebow"

NFL players disagree....this is a fun and easy game

No need to be embarrassed, at least you played. That puts you above most on this board.

Total sense but keep in mind Jets got a top 100 football player ( according to the best source , actual nfl players ) for a 4th round pick . The other haters on here even hate him as a football player and make no mistake , he was voted in as a QB because that's the only position he played.

No I understand he played QB, but hes a better football player than he is a quarterback. I don't know how exactly how to explain what I mean, but his running ability, ball protection, strength, balance, and read option decision making are really great but his throwing ability and decision making passing wise leaves a lot to be desired. He has consistency problem throwing and he looks to make a big play too often passing wise, while running he looks more north to south and doesn't get caught going east to west too often.

Again in my head I make sense, but its a not a clear thought

Oh and my main problem with the trade was the Jets didn't need it. A backup QB wasn't a need and a 4th rounder could get you a lot.

Sounds like a serious case of media-influenced delusions. Who did they sub in to pass for him against the Steelers in the playoffs?

Does one game make a whole career and mean he fixed all his mistakes, of course not. Sanchez still struggled after throwing a gem of a game against NE in 2010 playoffs. One good game doesn't mean he no longer has problems as we saw this year.

Tebow still has problems with everything I listed, its not crazy to say he is a better runner than passer. It also isn't crazy to say he has a lot of room to improve as a passer.

Quarterback play takes into account passing only while football player takes everything into account. So as a QB he is below average and has lots of room to improve, but as a football player he is great, running, ball protection, and everything I listed.

I'm trying to make self as clear as possible and it basically comes down to Tebow is a good runner, but Tebow has a lot of room to imrpove as a passer. If you think he doesn't need to improve as a passer then you are the one delusional by the media.

And If I was delusional by the media I would just say how clutch he is and how he has a will to win and his toughness and how he will be starting by week 4 for the Jets.

Also is the vote done by career or just the previous year? Chris Johnson had an average year so I was surprised to see him

So Kuhn in the pro bowl can also be dismissed.

Keep jumping though flaming hoops to explain this away . Stay away from little old ladies in Denver because they are going to be calling you out on this one .

Too bad for you Tebow was voted in by actual nfl players which render counter arguments as pathetically weak.

Vote is done by who all NFL players feel are the 100 best at the time of the voting . That's it.

Interesting, can't wait for the whole list. Brees/Rodgers/Calvin should be #1. Can't think of anyone else

I'd love to see what the actual methodology was behind this list. Heard a talking head on NFLN say that each player involved listed their top 20 players, and that the "Top 100" were determined based on number of votes.

Don't forget the great Romo was rated 91st and he had his best season in the NFL. Maybe your right those voters know what there talking about.
