Its got to be Massie in the 2nd round. Tired of wasting picks on these small time prospects like Ducasse and journeymen like Hunter. Massie is from the SEC no tougher conference and you could plug him in right now. 3rd go get Toon it would be awesome to have a Toon on the Jets again and 3rd round would be about right for him.
I don't see how we don't address right tackle. We won't be able to run or throw the ball without first addressing the line.
Bobby Wagner to take over for Bart Scott next year, or Mycal Kendricks to take over for Calvin Pace next year. Yes, I know we run a 3-4 and not a 4-3, so pad your posts by letting me know. Both play bigger than their size, and is overated anyway.
So many holes: STARTERS: #2 WR RT FS #2RB DEPTH: SS OLB ILB G So few draft picks. Maybe they are drafting BPA if that's the case it could be anyone. Certainly COPLES was more of a BPA pick then a NEED pick.
You act like taking BPA is a bad thing. And I would argue that Coples WAS a need. We didn't have a 3 down DE opposite Wilkerson. Now we do. DeVito is nice against the run, but this is a passing league. Coples will make the OLB's jobs easier.
Rex was DL coach for the 4-3 the Ravens ran in 2000. He could easily be planning to move the Jets to a 4-3 as he replaces the aging linebackers. The last few high picks the Jets have made are very neutral between 3-4 and 4-3. You get into the nitty gritty when you go get the linebackers because those will not be neutral picks. You're either getting smaller, faster guys or bigger ones to stand up to tackles.
I'd go offensive line in RD2 Re-sign Braylon Edwards- deep threat to stretch field and good blocker who already knows Sanchez
I would like an LB in the 2nd round I think the difference in quality for LBs between the 2d round and the 3rd is greater than it is for OL men
Exactly. Don't freak out in the 2nd round and start drafting for need instead of BPA. Looks like we went BPA in the first round. Stick to it.
So many positions of need to address: Offense: RT, LG, WR, TE (blocking) Defense: OLB, NT, S, CB, ILB, Punter Players I like in rounds 2 & 3 : {Not in any order} -Janoris Jenkins.....CB....***** -LaMichael James.....RB..*** -Cordy Glenn....OL -Jonathan Martin.....OL -Courtney Upshaw.....LB/OLB -Jeff Allen ....OL...*** -Alameda Ta'amu NT/DT...*** -Andre Branch...OLB...*** -Zach Brown...OLB/LB...** Indicates really like: ***
