One other thing that occurs to me - Prust was absolutely magnificent on the forecheck last night. In the first 30 minutes our blueliners couldn't get anything started because as soon as they were anywhere near the puck he was crushing them into the boards. I thought he made a huge difference to the game, because we were already two down before we were able to get anything going on offense, and as we all know, Ottawa's offensive play all starts from the blue line.

By the way, do you guys use a slushie machine to make your ice at MSG?

Reminds me of the Yankees and Angels in 09. We need to get past our demons and move on. I'm so tired of Washington and hearing names like Brooks Laich and shit.

I like that comparison. It's pretty close to the kind of struggles the Yankees had with the Angels over the years. The same result as the '09 Yanks certainly wouldn't hurt either.

Caps in 5? I highly doubt that. I don't dismiss the fact that the Caps could very well win the series but that's hardly giving the Rangers a puncher's chance.

hahaha....I have no opinion on the seies yet. I will say, prior to the playoffs starting, I mentioned to a lot of people that I wanted no part of the Caps......and here we are.

And as a side note, picking a team in 5 doesnt make teh series a bowout or not close.

Rangers in 5, and potentially a sweep. This Ottawa series has battle hardened the Rangers, and Kreider is just going to keep getting better. They're actually reducing Ovenchicken's minutes except on the powerplay because they don't think he's a team player within their system. DC is a mess of a team, NYR will dispose of them swiftly

actually, youre wrong. Very wrong. They arent a mess of a team at all. Thyve actually bought into Hunter's defensive system. Thats why the lessening of Ovi's ice.

They have a real hot goalie which is always scary and they just had the same game 7 experience the Rangers had and they eliminated the defending champ.

They gave up very little to Boston who has 5 times the fire power we have.

    Im scurred.

ovechkin plays most of his time completely out of the system as a whole when he's out there. i think Holtby needs to be exposed early, i hope they keep the gas pedal down and subject henrik to having to carry everyone. that last 10 minutes was a turkey shoot, and Henrik did not break, he didn't even bend, he's a fucking studhorse.
