That's not the point. That's what NEEDS to be done. They all need to hit the 'reset button'. Everyone move on from 2011 and take it as a lesson.

yup, but the media and some fans won't move on... they'll always have 2011 in their back pocket and bring it up if there's a little stumble. even if he helps the team out in 2012 and they win a superbowl, if he stumbles in 2013, all this will come back full force... unfortunately, it's the nature of the beast.

Lucky for me I don;t have to depend on your definition of a real Jet fan. I like Holmes.

He wants to win. It's not his fault that Sanchez sucks and could not get him the ball last year.

How many players strike you as good guys?

I used to think Sean Ellis was a good guy. Still do. But... Last off season many here were happy to see him leave, and in fairness he did not do much to earn his salary in NE. How important was his good guy status in all that?

Right now, on the team, I get the impression the good guys are

    Mangold
    DeVito
    Pouha

    Uh...

    Ferguson?

Maybe somebody can help me out here.

i am not sayimg that exact quote
.but anything close to that where he sounds like a team first player.he had a chance to make this go away and he was defiant in a conference call then tries to blow it off in a sit down interview.that shit doesn't work.the press will pick at it like a scab.all he had to do was say "frustrations got the better of the team and i am going to take it as an experience where i can learn to handle my end better" and this whole thing is dead.when there is an elephant in the room it is better to ride in on it then ignore it

I wonder how many of you will be still calling Holmes a cancer when he makes that first amazing TD grab.

TO made more amazing touchdown catches before he left San Francisco than Holmes will make in his entire career and I will always call that guy a cancer. It takes more than playing ability to climb from the depths of punkhood.

Holmes is a walking piece of dogshit with good hands and a decent burst of quickness. I'll cheer for the Jets when he makes some TD passes, but it won't change my opinion of the guy that caught them.

Just saw Sanchez and Holmes at the Knick game. They were chatting it up with Janice Soprano.

Unless the laces jump off the ball and sew Holmes' mouth permanently shut, I will be calling him a cancer until he leaves. Cancer can provide positive benefits, but at the end of the day, they're called cancers for a reason-- whether you realize it or not they're slowly destroying you from the inside-out.
