Both throw much, much stronger than Pennington.

Too many threads already to start another but this is interesting..

"Jeremy Kerley said he's gotten a chance to catch passes from both Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow and he already notices a stark contrast.

"Different than Mark, different than Mark," Kerley said at the NFL Pop-Up store on 41st today. "(Tebow's) ball comes out a little bit stronger, but he's accurate, he's more accurate than what I thought he was going to be. But he's a good dude, he has a great personality, he'll bring a lot of personality to the team."

When asked how much more velocity on a throw than Sanchez, Kerley said: "A LOT, a lot more velocity. No dis to Mark, he brings it, man." "

    Thought this was interesting.

Since I can't post links. Type "Tebow vs. Brady - Throwing Styles" in youtube

The link is youtube.com/watch?v=2kLV7xcqIHQ but you have to add the word wide web.

I have seen other people at McDonald's. We were all grossly over weight.

But I digress, Favre and Tebow both throw over hand and the comparison ends there.

Why not try to set the bar a little lower than the throwing FB vs the future HOF record holder in every category? Why not find some comparisons to say, Trent Dilfer first?

I'd love to know who said that...

Favre would get unorthodox with his release, but the speed of his release is infinitely faster than tebow's fastest windups. The delusions are only just beginning...

I'm liking the roles I'm hearing the CS has planned for him.

I'm still a Sanchez supporter, though.

Many (probably most) Jets fans that currently don't want Tim to be a Jets, will change their minds, IF they like the Jets having winning seasons. Tim's contributions to winning football games is not as "intangible" as has been reported or generally believed. Some Jets fans will always find reasons to dislike Tim, regardless of his contributions to Jets' wins.

Some Jets fans have stated a dislike for a circus like atmosphere, even while their 'city rival', current Super Bowl winning QB is crybabying about NOT being the most talked about QB this current cycle. I have empathy (not really) for those fans, especially WHEN the Jets make a SB run. The 'Jets WIN the Super Bowl' circus will be subject matter for time in memoriam, being eclipsed only by the event itself.

And worst yet, to those of you that dislike (at best) us 3/12ers, you have seen nothing yet. This is the off season. There will be an influx of Tim fans as we get close to the preseason games. More will arrive as the preseason begins. Even more will arrive when the regular season begins, and that will happen with or without a Jets' SB run. I shudder to think how you will feel as the season unfolds and a SB run becomes more likely with each game (Not really. My excitement will overcome any empathy I may feel).

ESPN sports science put Tebow's release at .2 seconds longer that NFL average, I have no idea how long Farve's release took, but know I cant tell the difference between a .4 second release and a .6 second release by the naked eye test

Exactly, and I would argue the stronger arm as well. Throwing with more velocity does not mean he has a stronger arm.

I judge a strong arm as being able to hit the deep 15/20 yard out under pressure from the middle, etc. throws like that. Sanchez has shown he can make throws like that in the past, Tebow hasn't, he's thrown alot of those at the ground. - It doesn't mean Tebow sucks because that's a tough throw I just doubt he has a stronger arm if he can't make the throw.

Throwing with velocity can be a tad overrated, sure Brett Favre did this, but so did my moniker Browning Nagle, I remember that was all the hype in his early years. But he sucked and after he left recievers would say it was impossible to have complete short passes with him because he would throw 5 yard passes like they were 30 yard passes.

There is no job to win unless the Jets start off 2-6.

Are you not a Jets fan? Every Jets fan will be cautiously optimistic if a Super Bowl run seems to be occurring. Cautiously optimistic only because Jets fans have felt the pain of coming short far too often. Are you seriously implying Jets fans wouldn't be happy with a successful, Super Bowl team? That makes no sense.

fair enough, however it would be my opinion that him holding the ball due to lack of deciciveness is much more damning than .2 seconds is

Hey, no offense, but its hard to pass up a Yoda quote and make a relevant comment at the same time. A quick release is really important. Dan Marino, the most hated QB for any Jets fan, had one of the quickest. If you can't get the ball out quick, you are telegraphing your play. Some say Sanchez telegraphs some plays with his eyes, and I agree. But Sanchez has read options, where as Tebow was mostly given single option pass plays... if no pas then run. Its hard to imagine a QB who has a slow release and bad read skills succeeeding in the NFL.
