If Rex falls on his face this year and winds up getting sent out he's the kind of guy that I would think Woody would look to.
Tebow might not be the most fundamentally sound QB but at the same time you cannot over look his desire to win and the effort he puts in. I was hoping he would succeed, now he is a JET, I WANT him to succeed.
I loved the last few seconds of this segment. "I am going to screw those teams...The other 31 are going to be sad" lol.
Be patient don't be greedy, that has to be coached out of him. once that happens his completion percentage will shoot up. If he would have checked down just 3 more times a game his completion percentage would be 59% and less of an issue.
A pretty, fully clothed woman on a football forum is a very pleasant exception...lol. Thank you.... I am really looking forward to this Jets/Tebow experiment. And this is my 10th post...Hooray!
Oh wow, well thank you very much! and you're welcome I am looking forward to the Jets/Tebow experiment as well...definitely should be interesting. I can't wait for this season! And nice...congrats on the 10th post.
I was thinking along those lines too. Especially since there's a lot more riding on Tebow than just the Jets season as by now, everyone who's watched this team for a long time knows that Tannenbaum and Rex both signed off on this circus. They really need for this experiment to succeed or both should be given a very hard look by Woody. Again, money talks but perception is everything and right now, the Jets have a very real image problem they need to start correcting PDQ. Mention Jets to folks and you either get the pitiful (I feel your pain) look OR just outright laughter mixed in with a healthy dose of wtf are you guys doing over there..
If TT improves his check downs, adds 2 comps/game - goes from 9 of 20 to 11 of 20 (55%) + his usual game skills = unstoppable imho. I think it's nonsense to be so convinced, there's no way he could possibly improve 2 comps/game.
I don't think "decisiveness" is that much of an issue with Tebow. Reading defenses from under center, accuracy, and anticipation are.
