the same can be said about his and the Jets failures - people throw all the blame on Sanchez for last year while ignoring the fact the O-Line sucked, the running game was non existent and defense could not be relied upon to come up with a stop when it was needed... Just a thought...

If Hunter was the 3rd worst, was Ferguson the 2nd? It's obvious when you watch the games again. Hunter got owned in one on one matchups. It didn't have anything to do with Sanchez reading the D. I guess when reading he should always put an asterisk on his RT man just in case he uses a "spin" move. Hunter did have a few decent games, ie vs Wake in the first phins game, but all in all it seemed like Hunter wore down as the season went on. Ducasse needs to emerge soon or we get a solid OT in the draft. Hunter can still play backup, but that's pretty much it. He can't handle full time duties.

Of course he's got less picks and turnovers. He was a utility player mostly in his first year. Terrible comparison, man. If you want to compare careers, compare careers, not some half ass nonsense like comparing 1 year from Sanchez to 2 years of Tebow. Sanchez also only played 1 year in college. :lol:
I felt this way long before the Tebow signing but yes, I agree. Next season will make the 2011 season look like a magical ride in comparison. There is literally no reason for optimism going into next year.

Dirty sanchez posted the stats ( I am going now by real stats that anyone can verify ) , you need to add Tebow's TWO post season starts (its his first 16 starts we are talking about and they have to be added as they are not showed in the link ) , also he only had 11 starts last year, we are comparing his only 16 starts, which are 3 in 2010, 11 in 2011 , 2 in post season 2011 tebow has had 16 starts and he played in 7 other games for a few plays. This is what he has done. Total Yards: 3835 Passing : 2885 Rushing: 950 Total TDs : 32 Interceptions: 9 Fumbles lost: 7
There are a few of us Jets fans that think Mark will not lead this team to a superbowl at all. I understand what you did when looking at the stats, you compared Tebows first 16 games total. I think that what Tebow brings to the rush game along with his minimal passing games almost equals what Mark does period. Tebow nor Mark are going to win a superbowl with the Jets in my opinion. Granted Dilfer won a superbowl with the Ravens. The Jets need a complete back and stong D/ o line to compensate for the Qb play
Tthink the use of the term "first" might be throwing things off. It's just as correct to say that CowboysFan compared Tebow's LAST 16 starts to Sanchez's LAST 16 starts. As far as backs go, is Forte available ?
You don't understand a lot of the things that goes on in the FO. Neither do I, but I have a much better idea than you do. Please do not jump on to the "Tebow trade was great for the Jets offense" bandwagon in October and do remember to bump this thread around mid-season, just so you know not to overreact next time.
Not true. Mark was with in touching distance of SB appearance twice in his first two seasons in the NFL. No other NFL QB has achieved that. Mark will play lights out this year.
I think a LOT of Jets fans still have faith in Sanchez. Most people don't jump ship after one bad year. Seriously, it's insane. It's like Jets fans want the good old days of Neil O'Donnell back. They can't appreciate what they have - a young, growing QB with a shit ton of potential.
I disagree..I think if we can get a running back that can run and somebody to replace Damien Woody we will be right back to where we were in 2010. The problem with my thinking though is that a lot of teams in the conference have gotten better so only time will tell if I'm right.
not the ones that post on here - maybe we are just witnessing the vocal minority that are anti-sanchez but aside from a few people classed as "fan boys" you rarely read any post that has anyone xhibiting any confidence that Sanchez can be anything other than an OK QB (if that). I am still very much on the fence personally and this will be the year to tell what we have IMO
