I still believe that Mason, Plax and Holmes talked to Rex last season. Mason was sent packing and Plax is unlikely to return. Might be that talking to the press is safer than talking to Rex. It shouldn't be that way but who knows.
Just maybe the players DID talk to RR of what was going on & RR dismissed there thoughts/ideas so they decided to go to the press sincel RR choose to do nothing. None of us know the true story so what is the use of the continued speculation? What happen happen & can not be undone by all words printed on the board about it
I agree, but those players who are going to the press now with concerns over the backup quarterback deal may not have trust in Rex telling him how they feel. The off season was supposed to repair any damage and hard feelings from last year and by the looks of it another can of worms has been opened in the locker room.
Uh no you're getting it backwards. It was SANCHEZ who made Hunter look worse than he really is due to his inability to read defenses and make adjustments at the line. Not to mention that Hunter was playing without a full-offseason to prepare, and voila, you got yourself a sticky situation. The fact is, any halfway-decent QB would have gotten the Jets into the playoffs last season and made the RT issue non-existent.
Please explain why Sanchez didn't make Damien Woody look like a turnstile. What a fucking joke, Sanchez made Hunter look bad - haaaaaaaah. WTF are you talking about Hunter not having a full offseason to prepare? Did anyone? It's not like Hunter was just getting his feet wet in the NFL. The guy is 30.
You don't think having no time to throw and piss poor playcalling, NO SPEED at WR to stretch the field so defense just saturated the throwing lanes. With all this he manged to increase his TD total while running for his life in the process because of the terrible offensive line.
sanchez definitely lacks in the reading defenses/adjustments department. but wayne hunter was terrible. guys would blow by him before he had the chance to react. hunter is not some rookie that needed an offseason to prepare himself. he's 30 and he was starting last year. this is the same guy who gave away our goal line plays at pitt during the playoffs. he is a terrible player. a guy like peyton could have probably managed it a bit more with adjustments.. but he's not solving the rt problem. hunter had been in the league for 7 years before he was a full time starter. he is just not a good player.
did it make you sick thinking about our loss to the steelers in the AFCCG, a few weeks after it had happened? did you like, hurl and get sick and stuff, and hurl? and get sick?
You are crazy...because even when there was no pass rush to read, Hunter just plain failed at basic pass protection. It makes it hard for a qb to sit in the pocket with confidence. Expect more of the 3 second pass protection and dump pass next season. Reading defenses comes with experience.
how do we know they didnt approach him? if you have a guy you are trying to give confidence to (i.e Hunter) its probably not a good idea to make it public you are actively shopping for his replacement until you have his replacement signed.
Right Tackle is all we need and Jets will look a totally different offense. If Sanchez can get 6 seconds to throw he really won't need a big WR. Any scrub WR will eventually get open with 6 seconds . Look at the Patriots
Rex doesn't coach offense, block or throw the football. We can have the best D in the league, if Sanchez throws pick after pick after pick in the redzone we'll be right where we were last season. 8-8.
why do people make excuses for sanchez by talking about team accomplishments that happened while hes been here?
3rd worst right tackle in the NFL blocking for Sanchez is reality and fact. What happens to Brady in the playoffs when he finally meets a defense thats matches his oline...yeup, Brady plays like Sanchez lol Its all starts with the oline my friend.
