We all know sanchez isnt worth tits on a boar hog, front office is a trainwreck as is the locker room, and now we add in tim tebow. How could we possibly go from the verge of a super bowl to a barnum and bailey fucking circus routine in a little over a year. Im afraid things will be a lot worse before they get better, and it makes me sick to think about it.
    Prove me wrong Nacho please.

The reason the Jets are going the circus route right now is that they know the current window has largely closed on them and at the worst possible time with the Giants just winning the Super Bowl again.

One highly probable result next season was a repeat of this season's mediocrity. Another possible result was a collapse back into the 3 to 5 win territory that the Jets occupied in 2005 and 2007.

What they've done with the Tebow signing is to give them just a little breathing space with the fans for next year. They've taken a lot of the anger that was going to be directed at the franchise if a bad start happened and let it vent now. They've given themselves an easy out if the Jets aren't doing well early on next season, which will be to switch QB's and pray for better results.

Having thought about it for a few days I really understand where this is coming from. The Jets just couldn't afford to be a pathetic franchise early on next season and whatever Tebow does for them the pathos of a bad start will be muted a lot by his presence.

The Jets could come out strong next season with a great draft and enough resulting talent to make that happen, in which case the Tebow acquisition will be just a footnote on a successful season. The odds are better though that Tebow is a speedbump for the media and fans when the Jets don't show well early on.

As long as we have Rex as our coach, we will be playoff contenders every season, I dont care what anybody says...

HAHA! The best part is that he would probably be better than Hunter.

MODS- Please move this to the "Who gives a Flying Fuck Forum."

    Please!

P.S. That would be a cool forum name as it kinda relates to the Jets/Flying....just a thought

Run it by Petro, of course it would have to be Who gives a Flying F**K Forum

Why? Because you don't like fans criticizing the Jets' FO?

Br4dw4y5ux is right. This isn't a move to make the team better, but rather a move to divert fan discontent with publicity and false hope. It really says that Tannenbaum expects Sanchez to crash and burn early on, so who better to replace the just extended "franchise QB" who busts than Tim "the Savior" Tebow?

There should be one "Criticize the FO" thread.

That said, I kind of agree with OP sentiment.

It doesn't deserve it's own thread, that is the point. It could have gone in any of the other 200 Tebow threads.

I don't give a fuck who criticizes the FO, that's their opinion and I'm fine with it.

When are you guys going to realize it's ONLY the media that's making it seem like a big deal. The Jets are laughing at the media right now. None of it matters, calm down, it's not going to hurt the team. I'm more interested in seeing how we spend the rest of our cap and draft before proclaiming the doom and gloom. If we can fill those holes we have potential to be much better next year.

It'll be fun watching heads explode the first time the Jets put Sanchez and Tebow in the backfield at the same time.

Yeah, this and every other Tebow thread..and then treat that entire forum like the bullshit forum where nothing ever reaches the front page..that way all the idiots who want to wallow in Tebow grief can live there among their friends.
