I couldn't disagree more about him having a better shot to start here, mainly because Mark Sanchez is just a better QB than Gabbert and Rex Ryan is still very invested in him.
Simple, he wants to play football for a great team w/a great owner and coaches and teammates and win football games and live in NYC and make a gazillion dollars as a media rock star in NYC as opposed to go lose and live in north florida playing for a 2d tier organization. Not a hard choice - NYJ all day long.
If this part is true, I'm pretty excited. Imagine Tebow at TE? Best case= A Hernandez/Gronk hybrid. If he can embrace a versatile role that does not include him as the #1 QB, this trade could work out in the end.
Mortensen and schefter both reported in rather lucid detail that the Broncos seeked and receieved considerable input from Tebow on where he wanted to be traded, and that ultimately, he decided that the Jets would be a better situation for him.
Apparently as an Evangelical Christian he found playing for a potty-mouth coach in a city of liberal vice and sin preferable to playing under a Muslim owner....
Schefter said they gave Tebow the choice followed by another Tweet saying Denver will do what is best for Denver.
That was earlier in the day. This is the latest information. The Broncos were adamant that they were going to do what was best for them not Tebow. P.S. Can't wait for the nightmare scenario for the Broncos. Jets beat Broncos in the playoff on a TD run or pass by Tebow!
Wait ah second, Wait ah Second, Tim Tebow? Tim Tebow wull neva win as much championships as me, Neva! (Followed by the Fatboy Hand Wave)
John Elway did what was best for the Broncos, Tim did not have a choice in the matter. That was a false statement. Whether Tebow was going to choose Jets or Jags was not in the equation, since he didn't get the chance. Lets just say he picked us and be happy we have a big play guy who can put a good face on the organization.
