Are people thinking that the wildcat is still a great thing to run?

This is exactly what I was thinking. He is the perfect QB/situational player for Fat Tony....

It's dead to rites. It's a gimmick offense that doesn't work anymore.

I will [gulp] support Tim Tebow because he plays for the Jets. That's all I can muster right now and it just made me throw up in my mouth a little.

The Tony Morono version certainly is not...

IT was completely useless for us as teams figured out how to defend it...

Well is Sanchez gonna be a baby and pout about this? Or will he man up and and take his game to the next level? Guess we'll see.

you saw tebow as starter. Not someone who can come in and run 9 times then throw one. And what he does here is as up in the air as manning there. His neck could get screwed up on the 1st play and career over.

I predict more garbage INTs and throws like the last game of the season.

I am not by any means a fan of Sanchez. I regard him as the 2nd worst QB in football. But I do want him to do well and adding Tebow does not appear to be good for Sanchez or the Jets.

Sanchez appears to be overly sensitive and weak minded. He does not seem to handle criticism, insecurity or adversity well. The last thing he needs is the drama and press surrounding Tebow. Tebow is money for the press. They will take every opportunity to write pro Tebow stories and lead the bandwagon to get him playing time. Sanchez will need all the support and confidence he can get and adding Tebow just seems to undermine that support and feed upon his insecurities.

I did not agree with the extension of Sanchez. But its done and we have to live with him as starting QB for the next 1.5 -2 years. Adding Tebow does not help.

The best attribute Sanchez brings to the table is his ability to run QB designed runs at the goal line. Last year we had excellent play calling at the goal line using a number of QB designed runs which set up a lot of play action for easy TDs. Bringing in Tebow for goal line situations adds very little here as these situations were already Sanchez's strength. What we lack is a QB that can stand in the pocket and throw in passing situations. Something neither of these QBs can do well. In fact Tebow is even worse than Sanchez in the pocket.

I am not a big fan of the move. If we are going to commit to Sanchez then commit to him and support him. It just seems like having Tebow will add more drama and pressure on Sanchez plus make the team more of a circus.

Adding Tebow makes it even more important that we win next year otherwise we will really be the laughing stock of the league.

They must. Because it's been the difference maker in so many teams winning the SB (sarcasm). More times than not, the reason why you run the wildcat is because you are deficient in moving the ball the way most every team does it. Me I'd rather just get better personnel and execute more effectively.

Can someone detail Tebow's contract over the coming years? Can we cut him without giving up too much dead money?

Of course I have to support him, but how the hell do we trade a 4th and a 6th in return of a 7th for this guy? I would have liked to see what we can pick up in later rounds. This better fucking work, I am so sick of these splash moves.

That Season was a huge fluke:

    1. No Brady
    2. Easiest schedule
    3. No one knew how to defend it

It showed as the Ravens raped us.

Now that season was in 2008 when no one knew of such a thing.

In 2010, 2011, it was completely useless as teams figured out how to defend against it...

    But What do I know...

This should be the nail in Tanny's coffin but I'm guessing this is all Woody. He wants the $$$ tebow brings with him. To bring this guy in as a wildcat QB is a joke. Pat White comes to mind on this one just a much bigger headache.
