    Couldn't be any worse.

If we go into the season with either of those two starting at RT, we better have Tebow in at QB, because our QB better be able to running fast.

We will draft a RT in the 2nd round, after grabbing Upshaw in the 1st.

If Santonio was already pissed at Sanchez for not getting him the ball, how do you think he will feel with Tebow?

    Tebow for the wildcat, OK

Tebow as the starter, no thank you

Why don't we just get a legit RB? I'm sure Bush or Stewart could complete 45% of their attempted passes...

only way id want tebow is if its for a 4th rounder this year and maybe a 3rd next year that could turn into a 2nd depending on play. totally do not want him as my starter but just to come in and run the wild cat

Kerley can run the wildcat and he's a better passer than Tebow

If he came dirt cheap and it wasnt for the fact that at the slightest mistake by Mark Sanchez, hell even without a mistake all wed have to hear about is put in Tebow.

I think he could be utilized great as a power runner gadget play situtional kind of guy, real well infact.

Unfortunately he would bring that circus to town and instead of everyone yelling for brett ratliff or kellen clemens etc. Itd be tebow mania all the time on here AND in the media.

    To summarize:

Tebow in a situtional role, good.
    Tebow as a QB, bad.

Of course as I said that is in a pure football way, not counting anything to do with media and publicity becuas ethat is obvious baggage that WILL come with him so the answer is NO F*ING WAY!

I wonder how much of the Jets "interest" in Tebow is PR and locker room unity and how much of it is for his playmaking ability...

    Zero Id bet.

It would be a constant distraction for Sanchez.

I'm going to repeat this speculation since there seems to be a number of people participating in this thread right now that missed it. It's possible that the Jets are trying to move Bart Scott in this trade which would result in us gaining a significant chunk of cap space.

    They get:
    1) A starting ILB who they'll need while there's is suspended.
    2) Rid of the tebow mania headache/distraction.

    We get:
    1) Additional cap space.
    2) A unique offensive weapon that Sparano can probably take advantage of.

Then we could pickup the FA ILB from the Ravens.

Seems to work for both parties.

I agree but I fixed it for ya, so my opinion is that number 3 makes it not worth it.

I could roll with this. I do not like the idea of giving up much of anything as far as draft picks. You can strike gold with a pick, we already know what we are getting with Tebow....

If Tanny and Woody want to put people in the seats and hype up the Jets in a year that followed the VaGiants winning the SB, I can't think of a better way to do those things than trading for Tim Tebow.

    Make it happen Tanny.

At the same time we could save having to use a draft pick on a MLB

The idea of dumping Scott + a 6th rounder, getting Tebow (a gimick player/future QB depth) + a younger MLB (from free agency) isnt a bad idea.

And while I truly do not like Tebow, at least well have a young QB that hopefully will improve locked up via his rookie contract.

Who knows maybe in a year or 2 he could actually learn how to throw a football

Not to mention if Sanchez actually got hurt (which is completely possible with our offensive line). Tebow would give us our best chance to win

I agree, plus after last year and the Orton trade falling out, Denver will not trade with Miami, unless they give a third. Just my thoughts, but there must be a sour taste after no trade and having to cut Orton later on.
