Breaking: Reggie Nelson will stay overnight and the visit will continue tomorrow according to reports. #Jets
As I reported earlier, the #Jets have had internal discussion abt signing both Landry & Nelson. Now both will be at the facility tmrw. #hmmm

Ah man! This is exciting. They're all meeting together tomorrow. Hopefully they will work out a nice deal that isn't a cap killer. Our secondary would be beastly if this went down. Easily back to #1 pass defense.

The only reason I can think of for putting these guys together tomorrow, is to convince them they need to play together in the back end of our defense. And do it for less money.

Good luck to tanny selling them on the less money point.

    Both Nelson and Landry?

Our Safety position would go from a weakness to a strength right away. Would we have the cap space to do this though?

Yes read somewhere that we will have about $11 million to spend after rookies and if the contracts are backloaded (a Tanny speciality) they will be able to do this just fine.

That seems excessive in my opinion, I'd rather put that $$ elsewhere, like Mike Tolbert

Oooh if we could get this done and go get another pass rusher to compliment Maybin's our defense would be scary good.

you mean the guy who openly criticized the Jets organization last week?

Doesnt sound much like a guy who wants to come to NY

1st round would def be a WR (Floyd), or OLB in this case. Good move getting Nelson and Landry as the safeties in this class aren't great

We still need a capable RT tho

Don't like spending so much on the secondary. It's like buying three number one WRs and having no QB.

Except you can use safeties to rush the qb.

id rather send Landry@ the qb than Leonhard or Smith.

Hell safety was our defenses weak spot

Don't count your chickens we havent gotten anything yet. All we secured is the fact they both will be in the facillity tomorrow, not even necessarily at the same time (although thats probably pretty likely)
