Find it hard to see him as a legit alternative over here.

I live in Denver and I'm forced to watch Denver pre-season games if I want my fill of football and I thought he was easily the best QB in Denver and never understood why he didn't get a chance to play. I was hoping he would come to the Jets.

I realize saying "the best QB in Denver" isn't a bold statement but still he looked pretty good. Better than an over 40 guy.

Quinn is a checkdown QB. His deep accuracy is generally awful. He's an average backup but you have to have somebody and at least he has some experience.

I've wanted either him or David Carr so I am happy.

He got shafted in Cleveland and more so in Denver. He is a legitimate replacement for Sanchez both on the field and with the GQ NY media. I am on board.

Not ideal...but if even a little fire is lit under Sanchez's ass, it's a good thing.

The one thing that stands out about Quinn's time in Cleveland is when he got caught feeding the offensive signals to the defense to make the other QBs in camp look bad. Mangini later admitted to the incident. But then again Cleveland was a very strange place for QBs. Recall in 2010 Mangini refused to let his coaches speak with McCoy during his rookie season and made coaches always give him the gameplan a day after the other QBs received them. All because Mangini was against drafting McCoy. I don't think anyone in Cleveland was upset when Quinn left town. One of the most memorable draft moments ever was watching Quinn and his bad hair girlfriend sweat at the draft pick table while he plummeted in the draft.

The whole "competition" thing went out the window when Sanchez was guarenteed 20mil over the next 2 years. We still need sombody who can suck as bad as Sanchez incase he goes downthough lol... With that said, I dont mind McElory as the #2

Every other half way decent backup QB is long gone so Quinn may as well come in.

I've actually been hoping for Quinn for a while, he's a really decent QB.

Not good enough to be a starter unless there's an emergency, but I'd take him over the rest of the guys out there.

well to be fair to Quinn, Tebow was 3rd on the depth chart, but the fans would have crucified Fox and Elway if they didnt put tebow on the field after pulling Orton.
