..bit of a reach saying he, "guaranteed". Guy wants to win (i have no problem with that). We have to be a more disciplined football team. 2 years ago when adversity stood in the way, we met the challenges. Last year, we folded like a cheap tent and earned a Giants-Pats SB. Rex, read the quote below. You said it! This is hard work! Lombardi won't be handed to you! There's a price to pay! We have to rip it from everyone else hands. Being a Thug won't get it for you, taking plays off wont get it for you and banging a super model won't get it for you. Hard work is the only way. Blood, sweat and tears (hopefully less tears, we've seen enough of that shit). Keep your eyes on the prize. Training camp should be hell this year. We got to get the team back in a fighting, winning sprite. Speed is the key. :jets:
Rex wants to win, he just happens to wear his heart on his sleeve, much like any fan. There's no problem with this and there was no guarantee.
Much as I can't stand much of the stuff that comes out of Rex's pie hole, now we're just magnifying every little thing he says. This is a whole lot of nothing.
Don't worry. Come time the next season starts, all of ESPN will be referring back to this as the "guarantee". This is typical Rex talk. He says he believes the Jets are the best team and he wants to win a Super Bowl. Same thing he says every interview.
Comedy Central should do a reality show around Rex Ryan joining the Trappists for an off-season. The whole gag would be Rex observing the order of silence and it would be a silent movie since none of the crew could talk either while filming. It would be hysterical. I'd give Rex 15 minutes tops before he accidentally said something.
Even if there was no guarantee, he just needs to stop talking about the Super Bowl. Of course he wants to get to and win it. It's his and every other NFL HC's objective. So there's no need to state the obvious. He needs to quit talking to the media and just do his damned job - coaching/teaching, game planning, motivating, LEARNING ABOUT OFFENSE, creating a more disciplined team, etc.
He didn't guarantee shit! I'm sicking of muckraking word-twisting assholes trying to sabotage possibly the best coach this franchise has ever had. Are you a football fan or a fucking gossip queen? He said this , he said that.... Besides, who gives a fuck what Rex says, it's about what he does on the field that matters. For all who read the papers and watch ESPN and buy into the sensationalism and headlines, please don't come on this board, sit home and watch the View or some bullshit. Football is becoming more and more of a soap opera these days to cater to the casual fan who is not really interested in the actual game, rather the headlines and drama. I can't take this shit.
It Looks like Rex is as bored as us now this off season is in full swing, Guy is lost and just needs to talk football and just spews the first thing that comes to mind then we magnify it dissect it and it gives us a topic to discuss to fill a few hours of our day. I Needs to get pissed, shag a prostitute, re kindle the fire in this lost relalationship with the missus, play golf, wank over Kate Upton anything just to fill this void of no football. Oh wait done all them already today that's why I'm back here clinging to every word Rex says.:metal:
the guy is at a function and is being asked questions and is answering them - wtf do people want from him? every time he is asked a question he should just reply "no comment" or plead the fifth? its a game not serious business - all he is basically saying is he wants to win a game and people want to hang him for it
