Agree with above poster. If we bring in a good starting Tackle then we will have good depth at OL, using Hunter as a backup.

I think the best move for the Jets at WR is to sign Garcon (assuming the colts are ready to part ways. he is their best WR). He wouldnt command a huge superstar contract, and will definitely produce for us. Plus he has SPEED!!

If the Jets can sign a guy like Garcon then we can draft a Safety in the 1st round. However, if we can bring back Lowery that would be huge! He only signed a 1 year deal with Jax?? I thought it was a 3 year deal?? But either way we need to address S, and grabbing a good safety in the first round or signing Lowery are both acceptable moves to me.

    Not sure if serious.

It's only been ONE season. It's not like they haven't played on the same team for TEN seasons, you know. lol.

The Chemistry will still be there but that's IF Braylon's knee is 100%. We'll just have to see....

I understand the speed quality but honestly I would stay away from any NO wide receivers. Brees has made them the receivers they are, and with a guy like Sanchez they won't be nearly as effective. Granted, Sanchez is pretty much a downgrade from most quarterbacks, but let's face it without Brees we wouldn't even be mentioning his name.

Goldson played like a beast this season.

But a legit pass rusher should be at the top of the list. This is a need which somehow never gets addressed.

I just saw on Bleacher Report that Dwyane Bowe, Colston, and Mike Wallace are all free agents. Getting any of those guys would give us a huge upgrade at WR.

Mike Wallace is unrealistic. Way too much coin.

Meachem has the skillset to be a dominant #1 reciever, I've been saying that for three years. He's big, fast, has good hands, and is a solid route-runner. He's been overshadowed by COlston and Devery Henderson his entire career. I want this guy BADLY, he's a star awaiting to emerge. He'd be Braylon 2.0 for us.

Um I assume our imaginary center wouldn't be signed off another team weekly and started in place with no practice or knowledge of the playbook.

As for safety, don't forget about Reggie Nelson from the Bengals. Not sure what Cincys plan is but what a pick up that would be.

Also Michael Bush. A 6'1", 240 lb back? Yes please. If we are gonna be ground and pound, forget a thunder and lightning duo, lets soften the defense up with Bush and finish them off with Greene. No defense wants to play that.

Umm no, Wayne IS by far the better receiver, although I would like Garcon to be a Jet.

PS- there isn't any safety worth taking @ #16

the problem is that there are no good starting tackles available in FA other than Gaither who is injury prone and will still cost a ton.

And how did the develop O-Linemen thing work out this past season? Hunter? Ducasse? It's time to put some players on the OL and not development projects that don't work in the NFL.

Is Hunter Shithead? LOL!! Remember, that isn't guaranteed. If he doesn't make the team he won't see one penny of that. The Jets could sign a FA like Anthony Collins or Barry Richardson at RT or draft a RT. Ducasse could should enough improvement to be solid depth or even start, or Collins or Richardson could quite easily beat out Hunter and maybe even a rookie.

I think you guys can forget and should forget signing a FA WR unless it's Braylon. I don't think the Jets will have the money to even think about signing any of the other WRs that are worth anything at all. Besides, Meachem is gonna want too much money and drops too many passes.

This draft is strong and deep at the WR position. Why in the world would the Jets spend what little cap space on a WR when they can probably find at least one if not two really good prospects in the draft, especially when they have a glaring need at S and at RT?? It's much harder for a rookie to come in and contribute at S, and to a lesser extent RT, than at WR. As more and more colleges have gone with pro type offenses, more and more WRs are able to come into the league and contribute solidly in their first season.

IMO whatever FA $s the Jets have should go to the S, RT and backup QB spots in that order. If there's anything left over, they can try to sign Braylon or maybe John Carlson.
