Rex made the Jets relevant again, well not this year. But have some faith kid, as much as this season sucked, it's probably what the Jets needed.
I agree. Before Rex came in, the Jets were considered to be an afterthought. Now, the Jets are starting to become relevant to the point where they may be a polarizing team. I don't agree with everything Rex says, but he needs to make sure to bring the team back together and have the Jets become competitive again.
With all the crap Rex has taken on how this played out AB, I think he has gotten away easily so far..especially from Jet fans. He comes along the first year and says he is not here to kiss BB's rings...I got that...it served its purpose. Since then the only thing I think he has done is put a ton of pressure on his OWN team. The only way a Rex Ryan could succeed with the shit that has come out of his mouth is if he had a dynasty defense and a very good offense. Only that could overcome other teams hatred...other teams bringing their A game week in and week out. What pisses me off is that in year 3....Rex never saw it coming. He never learned his lesson. He comes across to me as one the dumbest coaches ever when it comes to knowing his own team and what they could overcome. And what he did during the Giant week is inexcusable. Totally. A team gets blown out by the Redskins and is on the brink of ANOTHER total collapse..and you choose that week to say we are New Yorks team? Pure stupidity.
Come on, dude, the Giants just won the friggin' Super Bowl. This is really the wrong time to try to argue about how relevent the Jets are.
Would u rather we stuck with mangini? Or maybe herm? Despite Rex's big mouth, what you are mocking in your post is fact. And is more than I can say for most of the coaches who've coached this franchise.
Mmm I dunno. You're not a Jets fan & you're here, aren't you?Their must be some sense of relevance with the Jets that lead you here..no?
I was going to respond to his post, but I found myself inserting far too many harsh words and decided against it.
All the New NFL gear is coming out draft day, so stores are trying to get rid of that shit before the new merch comes in, managers hate "over stock"
exactly, plus with reeboks contract expiring, expect to see tons of nfl merchandice of all 32 teams on clearance real soon to make way for all the nike stuff. that said, prior to 2011 everyone loved rex's act. the team was overachieving and compared to the mangini era, rex's attitude helped breath life and energy into a team lacking both. now he set himself up for failure with alot of the quotables he made last season but it's done now, from hearing him talk recently he seems willing to make the necessary changes and i'll give him the benifit of the doubt.
Hey fagget fins fan, we're not arguing over how relevant the Jets are. Some Jet fans just need to be reminded of the days before Rex and that the future is promising. I may not support Rex running his mouth but I believe in him as our HC.
In Rex We Trust Look if you don't like Rex become a Giants fan or something. I love the guy. He's injected high expectations into this team. He's way better than Mangini and Herm. Who should we replace him with in your view? Give Rex time. Sure, his guarantees were stupid. But the team is in a much better place than when he came in. His style also fits New York. Have you ever seen one of his press conferences?
Question. Did you raise these concerns while they were winning? Were you calling Rex stupid when he drew up the perfect defensive game plan against the Pats last January? Rex isn't stupid. But he let things get away from him in 2011 and he knows it, and he and his team paid the price. Now the Jets get their noses rubbed in it. This isn't all Rex's fault, either. The Jets have been playing the High Risk High Reward game for 3 years now. They got some good rewards early on from their risks, but now we see what happens when some of those risks don't pay off.
