I was going for the Giants all along. My Giant fan friends aren't assholes and the Pats have ruined waaaayy more football Sundays over my lifetime than the Pats have. It's like 19-3 in that department. I'm thrilled for Giants fans. Jealous, but thrilled.
Nobody is forcing you to post here. You don't like the quality of our posters, then find another board. I'm getting just a bit tired of the complaining.
New York City is in a great mood this morning. I even saw people making room for others on the subway. Our day will come, and when it does, you will appreciate how this city embraces winners.
I live in Spain, so I don't have to deal with any giant fan. I always root against Patriots, ¿A Giants victory? is a collateral damage for me.
Wasnt sure which way I was going till kickoff. But then my hatered over took my jealousy. Gratz to the g-man the lesser of two evils
I guess it's because I don't live in New York anymore, I am much happier with the Giants winning than the Patriots. Living in Washington, DC, you find people from all over, so I know quite a few Pats fans (they're not all bad, actually. Although, they do have bad taste in sports teams). Also, even growing up in NY, I never really had a problem with the Giants. I mean, hard to have a rivalry with a team you play once every 4 years in a meaningful game. We all know those pre-season "Battle of New York" games are a joke. Plus, a lot of friends and family members are Giants fans and they've always been cool about it when they do well. The Pats, on the other hand, don't get me started. So, I will celebrate the Pats losing as much as Giants fans are celebrating the Giants winning.
I had the same experience! Was dreading the game until it started, then my natural tendency to root against the Pats kicked in.
I have tons of good friends and family who happen to be Giants fans. On the flip side, almost every Ptas fan I know is an intolerable douche. I'm much happier to see the NY people happy than the Gaytriot, Boston Masshole crowd, who always seem to win with absolutely zero class or grace. Fuck Brady and Patriot Nation.
It's funny, Pats fans I talked to before the game said that they don't hate the Giants. I wonder if that has changed now, lol.
Its also hard to hate a team that went from 7-7 to winning the whole goddamn thing. That was quite a climb, even if it began with Bradshaw trucking Brodney Poole, and Cruz scoring a miracle TD against the Jets. I venture to say that if Leohnard makes that tackle in the endzone against the Gints, fate completely reverses and the Gints miss the playoffs, the Jets get in...but the Packers end up repeating.
We all rooted for the Giants. Last anyone wanted to see was a celebration of Boston people shouting how much they hate New York and New Yorkers...
NY over Boston any day of the week. Of course Id rather us win the Superbowl but seeing the Giants win isn't all that bad. A lot of our fans just seem butthurt that the Giants have outplayed us.
Jim Leonhard didn't play in that game. Jimbo missed a tackle in the end zone against the Broncos and then they wouldnt have made the playoffs and we probably would. Doesn't affect the Giants at all.
I have lot of Giants fans in my family. How the f*ck am I going to deny them happiness and give it to Boston fans instead? Never take sides against the family.
Oh yes, why am I thinking that was against the Giants. I did mean the play against the Broncs. Ok, if someone tackles Cruz, the fate of the 2011-12 NFL season takes a completely different direction.
If the cowboys beat the Giants in that game they were up 15 I think in the 4th quarter then we are not talking about this right now. Lots went right for the Giants to get in but when they were going in they were red hot and playing at their best. Showing why if you have great pass rushers then you always have a chance even against great QBs.
it isn't the mirror's fault if you don't like what you see in it, so don't lash out at the wall for holding it up.
