• I want the spotlight to be on the Jets for the 2 week period leading up to the Super Bowl • I want Giants fans to be completely envious that my team has a shot at the trophy • I want Pats fans to completely hate that we are in the Super Bowl • I want to be glued to the news during “media day” where all my favorite Jets are speaking there mind • I want to see the Jets off to the game during a pep rally in Florham Park • I want to consider paying $8,000 to go see my team in the Super Bowl • I want to be in a Super Bowl box pool where the JETS are on the page. • I want to act like a lunatic during the game like I do during the regular season. • I want to read every single article in the newspaper about my team during the weeks leading up to the game • I want to go to a green parade down Broadway!!!! You and every single Jet fan in the world man. Face it, every team's fans besides two are jealous right now. Maybe with the exception of really recent champs. If you're only feeling like this now then consider yourself lucky for it to have taken this long.
It does amaze me that we haven't even gotten there in all these years. I know winning it is the goal, but you'd think we would at least get there once in a while. Even the Knicks have made the Finals twice since I've been watching. Since 1974, here are the teams I've not seen in the Super Bowl: Jets Chiefs Lions Jaguars (expansion 1995) Browns (expansion 1999) Texans (expansion 2002)
It gets more and more painful every year. Be happy you don't live in literally the melting pot of Giant & Patriot fans. The same fans who barely consider the Jets a professional organization & have been rubbing their success in your face for basically your whole fan lifetime. I gotta tell you though. I've become numb to other team's success. I still hate the Giants & Pats. to the point where I hope the stadium explodes.But now, once the Jets are out..I don't care about football. Just once. I just want to seem them do it once.
Giants fans would not be envious unless we surpass them in number of Superbowl trophies..same goes for the Pats. There were send-offs for the ACFCCG which i went to and they played like crap to start vs the Steelers.

I gave this speech to my roommates. I live in Boston and they are hardcore pats fans. It sucks because I gotta listen to their bullshit about losing a Superbowl is the worst feeling.
