That was a turning point as far as the division and tie-breakers, certainly. We had to re-evaluate after that and shoot for the Wild Card, but we did manage to regroup and control our own destiny going into Week 16.

That said, having New England in the division gives you no margin for error, it's like Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Even if we won that game we'd still have had to just about win out to get the division, New England still hasn't lost since that night.

Even Pittsburgh and Baltimore faulter, the Patriots NEVER faulter. They have been the best team for a decade and it really sucks.

True. The comparison being even if you go 12-4, the other team goes 13-3 and you're on the road as a Wild Card. Last year we could have been 13-3 and we'd still have opened the playoffs at Indy. That's why we have the NFL record for most consecutive road playoff games. Kudos to us for getting back in over and over, but it will be nice when New England bites it, whenever that happens.

Giants loss is when it was done. They had a shot at the offs at 8-6 and blew it.

I wanted the one with him doing his annoying celebration.
I forgot we had played against him the year before and just found the first picture of him doing his stupid celebration with a Jet in the picture.

Sanchez calling a timeout before halftime against the Patriots still annoys me. We would have went into half up 9-6 instead Brady went right down the field with all that time.

This right here. In our last 3 games I thought we may drop a game against either the Giants or Eagles but then beat the Dolphins. But after losing to Philly I thought this team was good enough to beat the Giants and Dolphins. I thought wrong smh.

I forgot he played, let alone scored in that game. All I remember was Revis coming back from injury and Holmes saving us by drawing a pass-interference penalty at the end, so we could win the game.

Things like that just make you realize how close we are. A play here or there against the teams that are in the Super Bowl. That's why I don't think we need a new QB or coach, we just need to get our heads out of our asses and stop doing stupid shit in crucial moments. Leonhard missing the tackle in Denver, two guys not tackling Cruz, Holmes falling down on the first drive of that NE game where he may well have scored, the timeout, the list is fucking endless.

That was no excuse for the D to allow NE to go 80 yds in about a minute to score a TD

It certainly didn't help. They may have just taken a knee if we ran the clock down further.

Maybe but NE got the ball back at their 20 w/ 1:20 to play and 2 TOs. They had such an easy time scoring they didn't even use one of their TOs. Big mistake by Sanchez to call the TO but there's no way the D should allow a TD in that situation, I could see a longer FGA but 80 yds in a little over a minute while only using 1 TO? That was a pathetic job by the D.

I agree with you. Even the problems coming from the Mangold injury, as bad as they were, didn't answer what would happen when he came back, since we knew it was not a season ending injury.

That's why I picked the second Pats game.

I was worried about this season dating back to last season that was why I was so crushed when the Jets lost to PIT last January. I normally get disapointed/mad when the Jets lose but that lost hurt as bad as they did when I was a kid. I seriously felt like that was going to be the last chance the Jets would get that far for awhile.

I wasn't even sure that we would HAVE football..
I knew they were going to lose players because they had so many players in a contract year...
I had a feeling the lack of attention to the offensive line was going to catch up to them...
I also had some kind of feeling they were headed for a disaster of some sort : When you talk so much the highs can be high but the Lows are VERY Low...

Bottom line: The window of opportunity is small, when you get far enough you have to push through and win it all. The Jets were rolling and playing absolutely great last January and shouldn't have let that 1st half happen against Pitt., our best chance since 1998 to win it all. I really hope that it doesnt take another 12+ years to be in that opportunity again but I can see it as a real possibility.

When Demarcus Ware blew right by Wayne "The Turnstile" Hunter on our very first offensive snap to sack Sanchez. Right there told me this was going to be a long season

Saved him two keystrokes. The ever-efficient champ.

Too bad he wastes the time he saves by typing the same shit over and over.

Honestly, I was nervous week one when it took a miracle to barely beat the Dallas Cowboys.

The second Patriots game was really the nail in the coffin for me though.
