As Biggs pointed out yesterday, an honest discussion of Schotty's history with the Jets does not support the claim presented by Brad and others that NO Qb had success with him.

But I also acknowledge that does not fully address whether as of this point Sanchez might do better, or not, with another OC. We can only speculate, and will have our answer starting in about seven months. I can wait. And hope he does well, even if Schotty also succeeds in St. Louis, that would merely mean that he and Mark were not a good fit.

But I also hope going forward that if Mark does not do well this coming season that the Sanchez Fan Excuse Making Machine does not continue rolling out the endlesss nonsense. No "He's only had one year in this system - he deserves another" or "Sparano sucks, let's get a good OC in here" or "It really takes five years before you can say what you really have with a Qb".

Can we at least agree on that?

There is no honest discussion with you, you ignore statistics and facts and continue to post an opinion with no basis in either.

Since you still don't get it, maybe repetition will help.

I take it simple minded arguments devoid of complexity and true understanding appeal to you.

There have been reasons for those numbers offered here. You selectively choose to ignore them. That may work for you, but the cred of your position suffers from your simplemindedness as far as I am concerned.

    Have a nice day.

Because defending Schotty by stating that Chad Pennington won the Comeback Player of the Year award without even taking into account his terribly pedestrian numbers is an amazingly complex argument. LOL

Big words for someone who disregards statistics for "CHAD PENNINGTON COMEBAK PLAAHAR OF TEH YEAR!" arguments.

Sam Bradford has more upside than Mark Sanchez.

Now you are flat out lying. I gave plenty of stats here yesterday, including that Chad was rated the 12th Qb in the league the year he was Comeback Player of the Year, and all you do is put up his TD v. Int numbers.

    Have a nice day, liar.

So, the Jets need 5 Pro Bowlers on their OL rather than just 3 to give Sanchez the time he needs to decide to throw a 3 yard check down on 3rd and 10?

Feel free to go back through my history and see the stats I posted regarding shotty months ago. Don't be lazy.

If you think taking the most accurate QB in NFL history and turning him into the 13th ranked QB in the league with a 1:1 TD to INT ratio is a "good job" then you're a frittata and can not be helped.

    1) Pro Bowl selections stopped being a gauge on the ability of a player more than a decade ago.

    2) Having 3 very good offensive linemen doesn't make 2 having 2 extremely bad offensive linemen irrelevant.

    3) You suck.

You are changing the point. You said

"Big words for someone who disregards statistics for "CHAD PENNINGTON COMEBAK PLAAHAR OF TEH YEAR!" arguments. "

And I showed you I had not disregarded stats, but had presented stats myself. You lied to say all I did was refer to the Comeback Player of the Year.

Don't change the subject. Be stand up and admit you made a mistake. It won't kill you. It's only a message board. When I make mistakes I admit it.

    Now it's your turn.

Wanna trade? You can have the Bills OLers and we'll take yours, and we'll see whose is better. Then you'll really understand what a bad OL is.

You listed one stat, that was completely meaningless. Again feel free to look back in my post history instead of being lazy.

And if it's just a message board, stop being so butthurt about the fact that you don't provide any kind of a rational argument.

You're such a damn frittata you think that I'm "LYING" because I said you never use stats, and that somewhere in one of your 5,500 posts you might have mentioned a stat. Did your teeny tiny brain ever consider that I might not have seen that one little pebble of a post in the ocean of brainless bullshit you put on this board everyday?

I'm trying to figure out what frittata is and all I can come up with is an egg based dish. A little help?

You are lying again. I submitted many stat based arguments yesterday. It was not just one stat. Liar.

And I am far more intelligent than you. Far more.

Also, the argument yesterday unfortunately turned from whether any Qb had success with Schotty to one of whether you can define Chad's year in 2006 as relatively better or worse than Sanchez's this past year.

So, I mentioned that Chad was ranked 12th in the league in 2006 while Sanchez was 23rd this last year.

How is the fact that Sanchez was ranked 12th a meaningless stat in that argument?

I am smart enough to know that is a rhetorical question you will have no good answer for. But I am also smart enough to know that won't stop someone with your level of "intelligence" from going ahead and making up more lies or stupid arguments.

First off, you mixed up Sanchez and Pennington in your last sentence.

Secondly, you're comparing apples and oranges.

Ok, that is probably tough for you, so let me spell it out.

You're comparing the most accurate Quarterback ever to one of the most inaccurate starting Quarterbacks in the league. Pennington can come in 12th, that doesn't prove Shotty's competence if his ceiling is higher. Just as Mark's stats don't prove Shotty's incompetence. That is why myself, and just about everyone else that bothered making statistical arguments about Shotty based it on what he did with Pennington, Favre and Sanchez. The stats were undeniable with Farve and Pennington, as soon as they got away from Shotty they got better.

Here is where you fall back on an non-statistical and subjective argument. I suggest you go with the "THEY WERE BOTH HURT!!!!!!!!!" one that you typically use.

Every NFL fan should know by now that Pro Bowl selections are a joke. They are a popularity contest. The better judge is the all-pro team and I don't think a Jets OL will make 1st team all pro this year.
