If that Yahoo article is correct, and it probably is not because Yahoo is an absolute joke, then I want no part of Manning either. And before people come out of their holes and pretend that I want Manning nowhere what, let me be 100% clear...the only way I want Manning here is if he is clearled by the best doctors in the country. Unless that is the case, I am as anti-Manning coming here as Sanchez nut-huggers. However, that does not mean I want Sanchez here. If not Manning, than I want a Jason Campbell or Matt Flynn as serious competition, or RG3 or RT in the draft...
Peyton in an extended interview on ESPN with Trey Wingo. Says he's definitely playing in 2012. Says that he's coming along well. Says they installed the hip bone of a small Slavic baby in his neck. Says he talks to his doctors constantly. Not about anything special. Just talk. Says this week is not about him.
So that ends that with the Yahoo article. He sounds like hes being legit, he says hes fine. So let the debate continue about Manning....
He said he will talk to Isray about the plan next week, they are going to meet and come to a conclusion it sounds.
I am beginning to think he may not be ready but as they said on ESPN tonight, what will he be like in August or September? It's still only January and he says he is on schedule. The Colts certainly won't keep him but that doesn't mean he is totally out of this season yet. For that very reason he is more attractive to the Jets or maybe even Miami who already have QBs they can go with. The teams that don't can't wait to see what he will be then.
Don. Have you been paying any attention to anything since the season ended? No matter what happens, it is not possible for Manning to be a New York Jet. No matter what the NY Jets beat-off writers convince you about. Smart people know this. You may need to enroll in a class to understand, but I have faith that you will come through.
We didnt have players with contracts as large as we do now.I know we didn't have the salaries that we have now for Revis, Harris, Mangold, Brick, Cromartie, Holmes. Who's contracts are much more then they were when those players were signed. Use your head don, this isn't madden, you can't turn off the salary cap.
Let's be realistic here. Don knows how NFL contracts work, because he works for the Jets. That is the only conclusion you can come to, because he rails about the Sanchez and Holmes contracts while simultaneously claiming that the Jets should pick up the a HOF QB with a broken neck. He is obviously a contract lawyer.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7...s-colts-expects-play-again-no-timing-decision So confused as to what’s true...
The only things that we know to be true are that Peyton Manning will be 36 before next season begins, that he has had 3 surgeries on his neck in the last 19 months, that even when he was healthy he did not play all that well in cold weather. Everything else is speculation at this point. If the Jets sign him one of the factors above will screw us up before we're three quarters of the way through the 2012 season. That's also speculation on my part but I give it about a 95% chance of being accurate.
Aside from Manning playing political games to stick the big financial dick to Irsay? Stop being a shill. Manning will be retired before the draft, unless there are financial implications that make him pretend not to be. There are victims in this story. They are the people that are dumb enough to fall for the drama. Hello, Don.
Lol.. Unless Manning's medical report was burried in Mitt Romney's tax reports, there is no chance Yahoo knows what the fuck they are talking about.
Lol, no. I am however fairly certain that whatever contract he is given will be more than the jets can offer without crippling this team for the next 3 years. This really should not be that hard for a knowledgable person to comprehend.
