Wow... that list really spells it out. I think you may have broken a few hearts with that. It just occurred to me that the number may actually be 4 since Manning is going to land somewhere. ...and there's the first one.
I have come to the conclusion that no matter how poorly he plays, some people on here will always like him. I swear, it could be 2022, going into year 14, and people will still talk about him needing another chance to show what he could do. I dont get how you could be a "franchise qb" and a guy that keeps a team from Peyton Manning if you probably cant beat out 27 other starting qb's for their jobs.
What, no love for a great play by a 21-year old rookie CB stripping the ball out of Evans' hands? And you are correct, Flacco played a great game against the Patriots.
You weren't here for the Pennington debates. It was no different then, he was near death and people here still wanted him over Favre or anybody else the Jets might get....in fact they still wanted him over Sanchez after he was drafted. (In retrospect maybe that wasn't so off base)
There are some fans, such as myself, who don't necessarily believe he's going to be a franchise QB but simply haven't ruled it out yet because some QBs don't reach their ceiling until ~5th year. Brees. Eli. Maybe he gets better in an Erhardt-Perkins system? It's very possible.
His fourth year in the league though. Sitting the bench for a year and holding a clipboard has it's advantages.
Eli was also ranked 18th in his second year and won the SB in his fourth. Sanchez has yet to come close to 18th. This whole "every qb sucks until their fourth year!" is just an urban legend made up by Sanchez Fans.
I think it means that if you have 3 quarters, 4 dimes, and 4 pennies, you have $1.19. You also have the largest amount of money in coins without being able to make change for a dollar.
It sure does. It means if you suck you don't have to go out there and show everyone you do. For a whole year.
I'm not saying every QB sucks until their fourth year. I'm simply shedding light on the possibility he improves.
If Lee Evans had dropped with the ball to the ground, that 21-year old rookie CB wouldn't have been able to strip the ball. Evans RELAXED and was probably focusing on what to do for his TD celebration..... that idiot.
You can actually see Evans squeeze the ball and then let up on his grip when he thinks he is safe. Good for the kid not giving up but if Evans doesn't relax on that catch it doesn't matter that the ball gets hit.
That gif makes me sad. Not many moments of cockiness this year. I miss the cock. ...iness. See what I did there. :rofl2:
