He's not going to the Jets or Redskins. All either team has to offer him is money and he's rolling in money at this point. He's going to go someplace that football is fun to play and there's a chance at another ring.

Or he's going to retire. It's a coin-flip at this point.

Peyton has a skewed definition of fun. Most players would find Rex as a fun coach, Peytons gonna see someone like BB as fun

I think Peyton lands in Arizona because he doesnt want the media attention and apparently wants money still.

As long as he isnt in the AFC I wont have a problem cuz that means the top competition will be the Patriots and we wont have to deal with Peyton ever again.

What Peyton is going to find fun is joining a team with some assets, in a city where there aren't four or five media outfits all desperately competing to sell advertising and where he can effectively be his own offensive coordinator although somebody else will have that title.

That's what he had in Indy and he's going to look for that in the new place too.

Since Sparano is going to focus more on the running game and overall discipline of the offense, sounds like Manning would be a perfect fit with him.

I'm a firm believer that the year the Jets win the AFCE is the year we will win the Super Bowl. To do that, we need to finally start having some regular season consistency. Peyton would make us favorites to take down the Pats overnight.

All Peyton has to do is imagine what the Post and the News will do to him if he has a ragged start or a mid-season swoon or a late-season playoff failure.

He ain't coming to NY. There are wolves in the woods here and they're always ready to bring down a stumbling target at the first sign of blood.

I would love to see Sanchez do what Manning did to OUR #1 RANKED DEFENSE in 2009

You didn't watch the game apparently.

Manning was 2 for 4 for 18 yards and 2 sacks before Donald Strickland got hurt. The Colts had punted twice already. Once Strickland went out Peyton found the range against the Jets depleted secondary and after Shonn Greene went out the Jets offense got shut down.

The Jets were going to upset the Colts that day but two injuries changed the complexion of the game and got Peyton Manning to his second Super Bowl in a 12 year career.

That's why we don't look strictly at rankings, our D has choked in big spots for 3 years incldui costing us both title games. How did Peyton look against NO in the SB? sanchez played well on the road at Pitt in the title game last year- that D was better than our 2009 D.

KWarner said 49ers or Miami, not bad guesses, wouldn't that be a bummer. Dolph miles better than us over night!

Are you actually trying to prove to us that Sanchez is better than Peyton? I am lost for words.

Yup, and you wouldnt even want to tank for a qb next year because the best one will be a USC product, and well, USC qb's have sucked ass in the NFL of late.

If the Jets let Miami have Manning because of Mark fucking Sanchez, Tanny should be fired on the spot and Woody should sell the team. It will be inexcusable as far as I am concerned.

well, all tanny can do is opt for sanchez or not, wether manning then lands in Miami is out of his hands. It is not like he will have a first right of refusal on manning.

Dont give Manning a chance to say no, Make it clear that they badly want him. Explain how with him this is a SB contender (hell, if Tanny cant, hire me, I can do that easily). And dont give him a chance to say no.

You do what it takes to win, and that means saying adios to Mark Sanchez and hola to Peyton Manning.

I don't see the flexibility to completely augment the roster, if the Jets get Manning, to support him with the players he needs.

I don't think its worth blowing the team up for a player that only has 3 years left, assuming he's healthy.

    I don't even believe he's healthy though.

Nope but Sanchez hasn't blown any postseason games for us, we can't say the same about Peyton and Indy.

i wouldn't take manning, not with the many neck surgeries he's had. everyone needs to accept that his career is coming to an end. honestly, i would not be surprised if manning threw in the towel, he was to indianapolis what derek jeter is to the yankees and new york. i think the city and manning both are so emotionally attached i don't know. not saying that he may get over it and go for another team, obv it would be for business, money etc but the guy has money already, he's in like several different commercials, he's got a lot of things going.

I'd stick with Mark. Mark has all the tools to be successful. The New York spotlight throws anyone adn everyone under the bus when things don't look right, right away. I remember Manning and Couglin were set to be out of NY that year when the giants turned it all around and luckily held on by a thread to win a superbowl with a miracle catch against a helmet that should have been drilled out by none other than Rodney Harrison, the man who's 4th all time in ending people's seasons with injuries.

Mark Sanchez is the truth and the franchise QB for the JETS.

People here are actually clamoring for Peyton Manning? Why??

He's going to set this team back about 5 years. Plus, i don't trust the popsicle sticks and white glue to keep his neck intact during a game. I'm not even going to bring up the contract Manning is going to covet either. Our cap is a bigger house of cards than Manning's neck.

Tony Sparano's offensive system is geared towards clock management, running the ball (using double TE sets, with TE's that can actually block) and max protecting the QB. Why wouldn't Mark Sanchez be successful in that type of system? We already know what DIDN'T work (dropping back 60+ times to throw). Let's give Mark a chance to succeed in a system that's tailored to his strengths.
