Peyton Manning - QB - Colts A Dolphins source tells the Miami Herald that the team's offseason priority is to acquire Peyton Manning. It makes us wonder if the Colts might pay Manning's March 8 roster bonus and try to swing him to the Dolphins in a trade. Per the Herald, the Dolphins have not even shown preliminary interest in free agent Matt Flynn. The Fins apparently believe they have a roster ready to compete for Super Bowls after the addition of a franchise quarterback. Even if it's only a quick fix.
it wasn't the same team healthy, the team wasn't expected to be a playof team w/ Peyton. It's an old team that quit and got awful QB play. if they had mediocre QB play they would have been around .500
We'll just have to see what happens after the SuperBowl is over. My opinion of what will happen : 1.) Peyton officially leaves the Colts and signs with a team that's NOT the NY Jets 2.) Braylon is re-signed, a RT is signed in FA, and Nick Toon is drafted. 3.) I will get bashed by Dr. Veloci-whatever for being a Braylon fan....for the billionth time.
Let him go to the Dolphins. Another team with no plan and a screwed up FO. Thanks for giving us Sporano fish. You're going to regret that. I personally think he got a raw deal.
What? Give him 28 million dollars so they can trade him????? I don't think so. What if after paying it he can never pass a physical (or get traded) again?
why does everyone not seem to understand that we just hired Tony Sparano as OC? That alone tells us we aren't going after Peyton. This talk is all useless.
Its over, analyst like Clayton and Mortensen and others who said their was no chance Peyton would play anywhere other than Indy are finally saying that Peyton is gone. If you had a brain cell you coulda figured that out a month ago like we all did, but I guess these analyst are just that dumb. Hell Fatcessa is smarter than these idiots, he was saying this a month ago. Fuck ESPN lol.
They're always slow with news as they have "Sources" like Mort, Clayton, that have "Sources" that have sources that have sources that have sources. :drunk:
They take news from people who break it then claim they broke it and dont give any credit. Hopefully NBCs Sports network knocks ESPN out.
It's no longer Peyton fucking Manning these days. At 36, with a fused neck or whatever, it's simply Peyton Manning.
we aren't getting him, it would be an asinine move. Why do fans want big name moves like favre and Peyton? We have more access to info than ever before- why can't we all understand this game better?
If he could only play at half of what he used to be he would still be better than 95% of the QBs that have ever played the game...he is a first year automatic HOFer who many say is the greatest QB to ever play the game. And I can't believe you would want Mark Sanchez over Peyton Manning throwing to Braylon Edwards after what you saw this year.
:rofl2: at 100% in his prime he was still a choker. It took him 6 years to win a playoff game. As a 2nd year player on a 13-3 team at HOME he couldn't win a playoff game, sanchez helped us beat the 2 hottest teams in the NFL in the div rd on the road. Sanchez will nevre be regular season Peyton but he's well ahead of postseason Peyton's pace.
