I find it hard to believe we'd pass up Upshaw or Nick Perry for Barron.

Theres enough talent in FA for safetys so we must get a pass rusher in the 1st round....if richardson isnt there!!

Mark Barron would not be a first round prospect in other drafts in my eyes. I really think that would be a huge reach.

I like that he has Mike Adams up that high though, I think Adams is going to surprise a lot of people. He really isn't as bad as a lot of people have made him out to be. I'm not a homer either, I was one of the few that was totally against Gholston coming out of college. :)

I think not having Hightower selected in the first would be a huge mistake, I am so high on Hightower right now it isn't even funny. I really think that is the player I would love for the Jets to go after. Even in a trade down scenario, that would be fantastic.

I wanna see what Mark Barron can do, I would not be opposed to seeing him picked, but we need to adress both safety positions this offseason, and I would like to trade up in round 2 for Hightower if he is there

Like I said to you before, if you see a draft where Mark Barron is being selected at 16 for the Jets and we are passing up excellent prospects like Jeffrey, Floyd, Upshaw, Mercilus, Martin, etc don't bother posting it. It's not your fault but it makes no sense to start a thread about a site that clearly doesn't know the value of a prospect and our needs.

Agreed. I cry a little every time I see one of these.

I had a dream a couple nights ago. In the dream I randomly found out that we drafted a guy named Martin.. at the time I had no idea there was a Martin in the draft or what position he played..... could you imagine if it happened????

    True Story

I'd rather have Mike Martin after his performance so far this week.

The Jets also have spoken with Mike Martin yesterday.

Mike Martin has really impressed me at these practices. What he did to Brewster today was fun to watch. Id like him on this team, I just dont know what position hed play. Id assume 3-4 DE and come in on 4-3 DT plays or maybe play Nose. I just wonder where he will go in this draft. I think hes making a case to be a early day 2 selection.

To think of it he actually reminds me a lot of Tyson Alualu, I remember watching him blow up Iupati was some amazing power. Same as Martin has been doing.

Thats awsome, I talked about him months ago.....he wouldnt play the nose but he is tuff as nails and strong as a horse. He has a big wrestling background if I remember right, he plays with great leverage and has quick hands/feet. I wouldnt object at all, I am a M fan and watched him, put him next to Ellis and Wilk and watch out...

My view, if we can adress safety/wr/rt/ through FA, then we will have much better options for us on draft day. Yes I know, filling 3 huge needs during FA is hard, but even if we adress 2 (I hope for rt and wr) Then the team should be setup for a positive draft.
