Jets need an impact OLB & Safety Shore up the OL Get a new WR or big TE (they may have this w/Cumberland) I am re-thinking the position about publicity. I think any team operates better when they are below the radar. Jets best response is to quietly go about their business, and be ready when the Giants have the inevitable Super Bowl let-down
I imagine they will respond like they always do, by putting up a mediocre to sub par season and watching it from their couches like the rest of us.
Did U not hear RR already for sure, sure said we will be SB champs at the end of the 2012 season
That's what the OLB is for. I think the DEs & Dts are pretty good and would benefit from an upgrade @ LB
How many Super Bowl rings does Rex want? Doesn't he already have 3 with the Jets and 2 with the Chargers?
In his teary address to the team. He said it several times that his goal is to win SBs which I am sure includes 2012
It should have been obvious from all the articles, quotes and related news coming out of the Jets since the end of the season that Schotty was hardly the most important problem on the team last year. His departure fixed nothing about the conflict between Holmes and Sanchez, the negative feelings about Sanchez by at least some others, especially on the D, the generally negative locker room atmosphere, and Rex's own admission he lost awareness of the temper of the team. Your post does not even indicate a basic awareness of those issues. No wonder you were a charter member of the Schotty Haters He's Responsible for Everything Wrong Including the Common Cold Club. I wish they've already done the most important thing(s). I wish.
why do people compare us wanting to get Peyton Manning to us getting Farve??? it doesn't make sense Manning isn't Farve.Im up for Manning only if we can keep Sanchez.Because if Manning goes down then what???
Can you provide us with a link to the transcript of his teary eyed speech to the team? Because I don't remember hearing that part in the conference call.
Every coach needs a scapegoat. The Jets are not ready to fire Rex so they will keep him even though he lost control of the team and the players fight each other harder than they do their opponents.
Ftr I did think Schotty had issues, but beyond that I don't think Ryan is the only issue left, either. It's obvious that some significant percentage of players on the team have lost confidence in Sanchez. The experiment of having a bean counter as GM has borne sour fruit- bring in a real football guy. And there are other issues as well. The point is that Schotty's departure is a minimal factor in addressing the Jets' problems going forward.
But this year 4 and since Eli won a Super Bowl in year 4 that means Sanchise must win a Super Bowl in year 4. It is a given. Rex will guarentee it. Sanchez was the 23rd ranked QB this year but we all know he is top 10. Stats do not matter when you have a heart like Mark.
Well, I would cut him some slack for that. I don't think he's made a public pronouncement like he's done in the past, but the real tests are still to come.
get Oline get megatron get a bruising back and make shonne green the change of pace back leg Mark sanchez do his thing on offense if we do that superbowl guaranteed
@NYJetsRevis24- I couldn't agree anymore. Peyton would be great if Mark were his backup. Not only would we win games but Mark would be learning and hopefully gain the ability to reach his potential. Peyton is no Brett in anyway shape or form besides being one of the older QBs.
