Exactly this! The G's EARNED the right to play in the SuperBowl based on overcoming a slew of injuries, a fearsome pass rush, an "assassin" for a qb,
fleet-footed/sure-handed recievers and a coaching staff able to adjust the game-plan on the fly!
I'm sorry, but I Giants deserve the accolades for a playing at a top-notch level!

Go Giants!!! Kick that Gay-triot @ss!!!

notice how we don't hear the injury excuse anymore? they didn't lose one single big player for the year, they had some big guys go down for a week here or there like EVERY team goes through but their injuries were overblown. They didn't lose one key guy for the year.

haha...thats hilarious. I will give you the second muffed punt as the Giants "making a play" but it wasn't much of a hit to knock the ball lose but at least the Giants caused it.

The first punt was pure luck. Any punt returner knows once that ball hits you don't go near it. He had no business being anywhere within 5 yards of that ball. Also if Ted Gin wasn't conveniently hurt the previous week chances are he doesn't make that mistake. San Fran had complete control of the game at that time. The giants had a couple 3 and outs in a row and were not moving the ball at all. And don't tell me it was any superior coaching that had him pick up that ball. Every special teams player in the NFL goes after that ball because they are coached to from high school.

I give the coaching credit in that the Giants didn't turn the ball over. Although Eli threw at least two picks that two san fran defenders collided on and would have easily intercepted. I guess they got a little lucky there too.

HAHA! Nice!. But seriously it's rediculous that Rex's quotes propelled the Giants all the way to the Superbowl. They are a good team...period!

You are right. Only the Giants get the luck. The colts laying down for the Jets and the Chargers missed field goals in the playoffs were not luck. And the Colts head coach misuse of timeouts was not luck at all. All teams are lucky except the Jets

we got a qtr and a half of Colts backups, that wasn't as easy as facing us and Dallas 3 times in the last month.

Kaeding missed 2 makeable FGs, did a blown call help us?

Misuse of TOs? if he doesn't calla TO there we do and we have plenty of time, remember we let the final 20+ secs run off to kick the FG- we had plenty of time.

Please stop this crap. If Mark Sanchez and, to an extent, Tony Homo dont play like trash, the Giants are doing nothing and Coughlin would have already been fired.

Stop blaming luck. They took advantage of their opportunities while the Jets let Tim Tebow beat them, blow the Giants game, blow the Dolphins game, let the Eagles rape them, let the Ravens score a million points on defense. It's about taking advantage of opportunities in the NFL, and the Giants are just better at it than tHE Jets.

This is about right. Any time a fellow Jet fan wants to bitch about not getting breaks, all I think about is watching Tebow pumping his fists in the endzone. Make your own breaks. Giants did, Jets didn't. End of story.

Not one key guy- all average, replaceable players. The key guys missed games here and there but are playing now.

The Giants got hot at the end of the season, partly thanks to us, and rode their momentum. Did they get some lucky breaks? Yes. But they also had some devastating injuries in the beginning of the season. Anyway, fuck them. I hate Giants fans. They can eat a dick

Between the Pats and Giants, they are a combined 12-1 in conference championship games.

Yup, stop fucking Tim Tebow and you probably make the playoffs.

And I love how Jet fans conveniently ignore Manning being benched and the Bengals resting a million guys in 2009 as though that is not getting any breaks.

The Giants took advantage of opportunities and won, while the Jets did not and are now in panic mode.

Yep, a year ago on a borderline play they ruled a fumble for a TD against us, this year on an obvious fumble they blow the whistle instantly- THAT is the difference bte us missing last years SB and the Giants making this SB.

You clearly have not watched the giants to say TT is not a key guy, he is their best corner. Goff was replaced by a 6th rd rookie who was replaced by a guy off the street in week 12. Not JPP Tuck Rolle but certainly key players

Terrell Thomas is the defintion of an average corner, I love giant fans acting like you lost revis. ANYONE can play corner w/ that pass rush- I told you guys that when he got hurt. You didn't lose a single key guy for the year.

The Jets aren't in panic mode, a bunch of fans are still experiencing mass hysteria though.
