I'm for competition I'm against non-performers like LT going public with his recommendations. I'm not really even blaming LT, frankly. It was our moron former OC that decided that LT was a first and second down power runner between the tackles. Fortunately that idiot has finally been pinkslipped out of here
I'll be waving from the nose bleed section of the 49'ers stadium this weekend! First NFC championship game for me...looking forward to it. So I've watched the games twice now...I think San Francisco takes this one...and I don't think it will be close either. The Giants are not running on the 49'ers and if any of you have watched that kid Aldon Smith...Eli is going to picking his face out of his ear hole. If the Ravens get to Brady early and often then it's over for the Pats. If they do not...Brady is going to light them up. As far as Manish...I do believe he has sources. They are cowardly sources but they exist. Now that the emotion of the season has waned a bit, our only real option is to continue to grow with Sanchez. As it has been pointed out many times, he is statistically better, at the same point of his career, than a lot of his peers in the league. Add to that he really lost last off season. He was busy putting on a camp instead of "attending" a camp. Huge difference. So essential he has two camps and 3 seasons under his belt. Let's see what he can do over the next year or two. As I type this I just realized how freakin' fickle we Jets fans are...I can remember not all that long ago most of us would be dancing in the streets for an 8-8 season. Don't get me wrong...I want...no...NEED a SB. But it was an interesting snap observation that just hit me.
This is just ridiculous... everyone knows Mexicans is lazy... Now is he or ain't he a Mexican? :breakdance:
FreeMcNeil: Love that video, especially the highlights against the Pats with Braylon dragging two Pats into the endzone. The kid can play and plays better in crunch time.
I don't believe it's Revis. He doesn't seem to me to be the type of guy who hides behind reporters. WHO CARES??? It's a JETS Messageboard where we talk about THE JETS. I'm only concerned with what the Jets are doing. Not any other team.
Jet fans should just get over it. For better or worse you are stuck with Sanchez for the foreseeable future (2-3 years). Manning is out of the question. There is no way you could field enough guys to have a team if you added his cap number to this team. That's even if he's healthy, That's even if he'd come to NJ. No you have too much invested in him already and he's had enough really good moments that there is still a chance he might evolve into something better. The bad news is that as of this moment he doesn't look like he's ever going to be an elite QB who can lead and carry a team on his back for any period of time. My response to that is, so what. At any given time there about 27 other teams who don't have one either, so what. The other thing is you have right in your own back yard a QB who HAS evolved into that elite QB who wasn't much better than your guy after his 3rd year. Or there's the Alex Smith example for those on the left coast. So while its UNLIKELY that Sanchez will become an elite NFL QB, its more likely that he can still evolve into a good enough QB to get the right Jets team into a Superbowl, than it is he'll get worse and bust out of the league. Sanchez's problem right now, or actually Rex/Sparano's problem, is to get the lockerroom behind him and build up his bravado. Right now it looks like he's hiding out.
I don't know if it's Revis either but that wasn't my point, it was we can speculate all day about who his sources are but just assuming it's Holmes because he's the only one we know about that was disgruntled is premature. If it was Harris or Pace it would make a bigger difference then if it was Holmes or Burress.
Competition is never a bad thing what LT said should happen, he should have another QB pushing him in practice helping him out
