Playing Denver is basically a gimme for the Pats. Just can't see anyway Denver wins that game.

Fuck the Pats (and the Giants)!!

who knows. All the pressure is once again put on the Pats. They are expected to smash their opponent, at home...again.

People keep expecting Tebow to not win so continue thinking he wont just because he enters into Gillette stadium. And also, Denver's front can take care of Brady easily so for all we know, Brady could look lost and worst than last years playoff game.

    Really don't see Denver winning.

Denver doesn't beat good teams on the road.

The two best teams they beat this season would be Steelers and Jets, both home games.

    Look at their road wins:

    Miami
    Oakland
    San Diego
    Minnesota

The line is prohibitive, so I likely won't be betting Patriots to win, but I'd be shocked if Denver won the game. I wasn't shocked that they beat Pittsburgh.

I'd give my left nut to see Denver end New England next week. Then I'd stab the shit out of whoever has my nut and do a Tebow.

Man I would love to see New England get Tebow'd at home.

I'm also thankful that the Giants are going to Green Bay and not San Francisco. I want to get this shit ended as soon as possible so I can enjoy my NY Post again without seeing them.

I think it will be Baltimore at New England (hope this limb doesn't break) and New Orleans at Green Bay. How great would that be?

New England's line does a pretty decent job against an outside pass rush. Probably because they've played Indianapolis a thousand times over the last decade. Where they get stung is with a strong rush up the middle, which isn't Denver's strength.

The upside, if you're looking for the Patriots to lose, is that the Patriots will probably face Baltimore in the championship game, and if Joe Flacco is moderately competent, they take that game in Foxborough. I think there's a very good chance that this Superbowl is a replay of the 2001 Superbowl. Which means we'll have to watch Ray-Ray until we finally admit that it's his world and we're all just renters.

I'm a big Ray Rice fan from his days at Rutgers, wanted us to take him, we settled for Revis so I can live with it. If the Ravens are going to win at NE it's going to be Ray Rice like it was last time. Flacco just has to not lose it for them.

How come no one is talking about the Packers-Giants game in late december last season? The Packers beat them down 45-17 with a weaker team, while the Giants were a 9 win team at that point.

All I hear is the NFC Championship, no ones dicussing last seasons game where the Giants got dismantled by Rodgers. That game is ALOT more similar to this playoff game, than a NFC Championship from 4 seasons ago with a different QB.

How about the NY Giants players calling Rex Ryan "disrespectful" and then proceeding to publicly label ATL OL "dirt bags" and then guaranteeing a W at Green Bay.

    I hope they get RAPED.

Yeah their yapping to, they are talking shit, saying their a super Bowl team etc.

If they lose, I hope the media rips the Giants players like they rip the Jets. Cuz right now the Giants are talking just as much as the Jets do.

Correct on both points, IMO. The Patriots should more or less take Dumervil and Miller out of the equation, though one of them will probably get a sack and Brady will get hit a few times. Last time they played, Matt Light did a nice job on Dumervil's side and they used Gronkowski on Miller a lot. I'm not that worried about Denver's pass rush.

Baltimore is one team that matches up against New England very, very well. They have the defense to slow down Brady and the offense to grind out the clock and play keep-away. In the playoff game two years ago I think Flacco only threw 10 or 12 times. The Ravens would be a very tough match-up for NE if the Patriots can get past Denver and if Baltimore holds serve against Houston.

NFL wants Teblow in the SB -- $$$.

This is some Twilight Zone shit, but I see Denver getting a disproportionate amount of calls in their favor over the Cheatriots.

That would be good. That's the four best teams in the NFL right there. Whether or not they all make it there they have been the 4 best teams all year.

It just kind of sucks because if thats the scenario were looking at a NE vs. GB superbowl most likely.. Baltimore is unbeatable at home but has been known to be weak on the road. And I think N.O. would have a tough time in Cold-ass Lambeau.

I'd rather have a Baltimore vs. New Orleans or Denver vs. New Orleans superbowl

Yeah, Denver's truly elite unit gave up 41 points to the Pats, 40 to the Bills, and 23 to the Steelers (who were without half their OL, starting and 2nd string RB, and a QB playing on a high ankle sprain).

Pats will win this one by at least 17 points.

I don't think Denver is really that much worse than the Jets were last season. Strong D, good running game, QB is hit or miss, but can be oddly effective. The Pats are what they always seem to be: Tom Brady and a bunch of scrubs he makes look better than they are. I think Denver has a shot. Wouldn't put money on them, but its not like we've never seen this movie before.

Pretty much my thoughts. At the moment I'm hanging my hat on Ray Rice and the beatdown the Ravens gave the Pats in the playoffs two years ago.

    And Green Bay, of course.

This is spot on peter, theres a reason gb is 8.5 favorites. Rodgers will slice up that secondary, gb defense is also a lot better @ home 19-1 last 20 games, plus there will b no Farve which = winning in a major way for gb.
