I heard the Jets want the Packers QB coach as their next OC. Someone was saying that. And yeah Matt Failed, Sanchez's mechanics and ball security are horrible.
I think it'd be a great hire, but there's a solid chance the Packers OC becomes a head coach somewhere, and that would lead me to believe that Tom Clements would take over as Packers OC. If that doesn't happen and Schotty does wind up somewhere else, I'd love to be able to try to nab Clements.
This may sound crazy-ish, but I sometimes wonder if we had too many former offensive coordinators on the staff, and maybe it was the classic case of "too many chefs," where Schottenheimer may have been intimidated as the youngster in the room. Don't get me wrong - I don't give a flying fuck about the source of his lousy play calling. It's just a passing thought that I wonder about.
Name 1? And to everyone what grantee's that Clements will be a good OC it's all speculation. Just because he has a pedigree of the packers doesn't really mean shit IMO. But hey I hope i'm wrong
Clements did a very good job of turning Rodgers into an average QB to elite. I mean think of Rodgers before their playoff run last year, he was still in the mid tier range. Hes really transformed and no one really expected him to be this good when he was drafted. Sanchez is already the Jets leader in single season TDs, he has shown signs of greatness, Just needs a guy to mentor him correctly. We need Schotty to GTFO so we can start talking to these potential OCs.
Totally understand the whole Rodgers idea BUT.... would you say that Tom brady's QB coach of years past deserves a Chance at OC( BTW did he? Lmao ) Or are there just Some players that are just READY to take the challenge immediately regardless of coaches?
