I want him gone next season, but I would prefer it be done in the most economical way. Cutting him immediately puts on the line for $12 million next season. There are other options available that could significantly reduce the hit that we take including a trade, or a better timed cut followed by his signing with another team. Too soon.

Maybe he was 62nd because we don't have a QB that can throw the ball past his own dick. When a shit tight end leads the team in yardage and receptions (by a lot) then you have to look at there the problem really is.

He can throw the ball past his dick if it isn't covered in three opposing DL, which was more often the case than not. Getting a quality veteran RT and Turner back, going back to bringing Hunter off the bench which is his ideal role, and getting another quality backup or two from the draft/FA will go a long way toward allowing Sancho to go back to being the passer the rest of us have seen him be in the past. Don't know how u missed that.

Either you missed the first two seasons of Sanchez' career or you think he has a world record dick.

It's funny how a shitty TE had more receiving yards from the same QB.

He's basically assured he won't be cut because of the cap hit of almost 13 million. Their best hope to dump him is finding a team well under the cap who will take him for a late round pick.

You've contradicted your whole thread here.

The Jets need to keep Holmes and then one day "find" another bag of weed in his locker and he goes away.

Holmes is not your typical number one receiver. He has only had one year where he caught more than 55 passes. He has only gone over 1000 yards once as well. Averages about 5 or 6 TD's a year. He drops a few balls too. I wouldn't say he has bad hands but because he makes some rediculous catches he doesn't get the attention other receivers get when they drop a ball.

09 seemed like his breakout year but maybe he was more of a one year wonder. There are a lot of receivers I would take over him skill wise.

Agreed, which is why i sometimes wonder why people are so surprised and say "He hasn't got good separation all year!" when he's not really known for his separation, but more of his ability to catch balls even in tight coverage and get above average to great YAC. He's clutch, but definitely not worth the headache if he doesn't get his act together. I think we would have seen more growth from sanchez this year if he still had Woody(or anyone not hunter), Braylon & J-Co.

Would that scenario help us in term of the salary cap?

Even worse, Turner is a FA. So really we just have Kerley if we cut Holmes.

Braylon never quit. He had respect on the team. I did not consider him a locker room cancer. My opinion.

Trade Holmes to the Jags for MJD plus we can throw in a few picks. Jags are way under the cap with a new owner, they owe it to MJD to get him to a winner. And they also have no receivers. And Holmes can be back in Florida with his son...

Braylon opened up SOOO much in the passing game. Our line was better, but it wasnt like Sanchez was back theyre chilling like Tom Brady. When he extended plays he had recievers get open, typically it was Braylon....IDK if anyone saw during the Giants game when sanchez extended the play on a roll out and pointed Plax down field for the bomb, Plax couldnt even run away from the corner no less the safety. This is where we truly missed Braylon

Even with our line being below average this year, Plax got absolutely no seperation. Braylon had the speed and the body to be perfect for Sanchez.

Holmes for MJD? The Jags better throw in at least 2 first round picks with that if they want to make it fair.

You are the one who makes no sense. Not only would that cause us to lose our best receiver it would also cause us to take a huge cap hit and prevent us from helping the team other ways.

Cutting Holmes accomplishes nothing. It is akin to addressing the symptoms of the disease rather than the disease itself.

Our fat GM who stupidly gifted him the guaranteed money should be fired. This sick organization desperately needs to be purged from the top down.

Cutting Holmes would be akin to removing a massive tumor from a cancer patient. You'd still have to treat with chemo and hope the cancer remisses but first you have to remove the giant tumor.
