Got it... thanks for the clarification.

It still made me sick looking up that information. Damn he's bad.

Make yourself feel better by looking up Eli's numbers in 2007; his fourth year-the year they won the Super Bowl. Here, I got it:

    56.1 comp% 3336 yds 23 TDs 20 INTs 73.9 QBR

Every Giants fan during that season: "Cut him! He'll never be a top QB! His body language sucks!!!"

Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Bob Sanders, Tarik Glenn, Dallas Clark, Jeff Saturday, a few dozen other players strongly disagree with that statement.

Overall, the offensive talent Manning has had over the years is miles ahead of what he would have waiting for him if he became a Jet.

Defensively you're 100% right, but the one Super Bowl the Colts won with Manning was in great part due to their defense turning things around and carrying them in the playoffs.

I would agree that CURRENTLY the Colts are not what they used to be. Wayne is aging, Clark is aging, the defense is awful, and the o-line is horrendous. But to say he's "always been surrounded with horrible talent" suggests that someone thawed your frozen body from a glacier sometime around 2010. Certainly wasn't always that way. And Manning did struggle a bit in 2010 to get the Colts to 10-6.

Eli Manning comes from what is easily the best NFL QB stock that we've ever had. His poor play early was surprising to a lot of people, he was nothing more than average as a college QB either. So, the only thing he had going for him was that he had to get better because he's a Manning. Frankly, I can't think of any redeeming qualities about our QB. We didn't even get to see him be average much in college as he was sitting behind Booty. No matter how well he compares statistically to Brees or Eli in their third year, they were accomplished college QB's, we have no reason to expect him to get better, other than the fact that we don't know if he will get better or not.

Good point, although it's not like he did nothing in college. Sat his freshman and soph years, then his junior year was pretty badass.

In comparing Eli to Peyton, Eli might as well be the milkman's baby.
