To me, Schotty should have been gone since 08, and I thought that it was "clear as day" then too. With this team ya just never know. (SAME OLD JETS.) I will NEVER, I repeat NEVER quit on this team or "go." The tattoo is coming soon. But anyways, he really needs to go. If he doesn't then Rex, Mike T, Woody, this organization, are all fucking foolish and stupid.
No doubt about it. Schotty was the reason that we didn't go to a Super Bowl either of the last two season and why this offense was anemic this whole year. Not to mention Sanchez can't read defenses, finds his receievers a split second too late which results in most of his passes being behind his open receivers, crumbles when he gets pocket pressure, has no touch on his passes and is highly inaccurate. We are a running team and got away from that identity this year. That is the only defense I have of Sanchez even though I still think that he sucks.
Sunday Ticket and Red Zone Channel. I don't live in the tristate and unless we get the game locally, I have to do the ST. I just can't stomach watching another year of a Schottenheimer game plan being executed by Sanchez setting modern NFL offense back 60 years.
What we don't know as fans and can only guess at is how many times Sanshit has changed the play at the LOS. It seems he changes the play every down, somehow he thinks he is now Peyton Manning. Maybe Schittis calls aren't all that bad but Sanshit is changing every play he calls to a 2 yard check down.
It certainly looked that way on Sunday and all the plays Markie changed to didn't work either. More reasons for the false start penalties. When Sanchez yells "kill kill kill", I cringe, cringe, cringe..
I don't go, per se, I'm no way in hell cheering for another team. But I will refuse to support this team in any shape or form if the management and/or offensive coaching staff remains in tact at the start of next week. When the appropriate changes are made, new OC, new GM, new QB, I will be back proudly wearing green and white. But at this stage, I cannot torture myself in supporting something I completely disagree with. And if by some ridiculous miracle they magically win 15 games next year, I will not regret it.
I don't even think its an option for Schotty to stay - not with 90% of the fan base wanting him gone and the price of Tickets and PSLs that Woody is asking for. He will be gone one way or another, and I not that worried about it actually. I am more worried about getting an athletic safety to cover a TE... Getting a legitimate pass rusher, another ILB, a RT and a serious deep threat at WR.
I'll still follow the team, but as far as going to games and putting money into merchandise, hell no. Schotty must go. Hopefully he'll get hired by someone we play next season.
I will hold off on killing Tanny until after the off-season. The Jets have been a respectful football team for his tenure, lets see what he does this off-season to improve the team. I am also all for giving Sanchez another season with a New OC - which will happen, receivers who can get open and a re-commitment to the ground and pound.
There are 3 passing plays in schoddy's playbook, and they're each designed to pick up 0 to 5 yards: 1) WR screen 2) checkdown to RB 3) quick slant
My fandom runs deeper than one ghastly error here or there. I've survived through many already. That said, I'll still always remember Notorious JETS fondly for his animated avatar from the old days.
Really, people would stop rooting for the team because they don't like the offensive coordinator? That's just silly.
Im with you there but Sanchez never comples the deeper routes. Only when Braylon was here he would connect on some deep bombs but even that was limited.
Love the drama. Reminds me of a 14 year old girl who tells her parents that if they cancel her texting plan, she won't love them anymore. Riiiiiiight.
I actually haven't given the Jets more than 100 bucks combined in the last 3 years. Most of my Jets stuff is gifts and I don't have season tickets.
Got to love true fans. Or is it babies who whine when things don't go there way? Dude I am sure Woody is scrambling thinking of ways to keep you as a fan.
I'm sorry, but I can't help but agree. I love the Jets as much as any, but keeping Schotty on board is the equivalent of telling the fans that the Jets don't give a shit about winning, and plain and simple, I want to win. Schotty is the absolute worst OC in the league and having him on board essentially equates to near 100% certainty of never winning a Super Bowl. I absolutely refuse to support a team that deliberately wants to go out of its way to lose simply due to nepotism and misguided loyalties.
