This time last year Rex wanted to keep every player on the roster from last year. Somehow Gholston's not here anymore. Patience people. Heads will roll in due time.
I don't expect him to but comparing our guys to guys like Victor Cruz is moronic. The guys he mentioned are not even close to being guys that can win us a Super bowl.
I don't disagree with the "C" thing. I don't think its a big deal and I think Holmes being a captain was part of the issue with him.
This year this team totally collasped under the Ryan/Tannenbaum clusterfuck. Everytime this CS/FO takes some heat, all I read is the BS AFCCG defense. If this team philosphy won't change, if this CS won't change, if this FO won't change, the results won't change either. Tannenbaum is making tons of excuses and Rex is taking the blame but that really doesn't buy a pass forever. At least for those of us who want a SB instead of just getting lucky 2 years running. Give the FO/CS a mulligan if you want to.. To me, when a team implodes like this and the people responsible for it get a pass, I'm alot less willing to.
Yea, the more you watch sports, the more you realize NOTHING substantial is ever said in these types of press conferences. I can't believe people are overreacting over what Tanny/Rex are saying right now. It's 100% stock answers. Do you guys really think Tanny is gonna go up there and lambaste Wayne Hunter for being a turnstyle all season? No. He sure as hell knows he fucked up in that regard and knows he will fix the situation. The only thing I was surprised at is Rex and the captain situation, saying he regretted giving 'C' out to players without giving it second thought.
Well, that was a waste of time. Not much was really said. Not surprised since the season just ended, but I was hoping for more.
Totally agreed and I agree with the logic as Rex explained it. He wants 53 guys with the same attitude. Singling out 1 or 2 or 3 or however many guys with a captaincy sends the wrong message. Leaders don't need to have a C on their uniform.

I decrypted the code and it reads : Changes will be made, OC gone, Sanchez will remain the starter, Plax most likely gone, Rex does feel Holmes is an asshole, and he really doesnt believe that Holmes is the guy that should remain C or on this team.
Oh please. Something more than, "I'm not going to get into specifics as to who I did and didn't talk to." This team just had a magnificent collapse to end the season. It's not unreasonable to look for answers. Whether any are given is a separate issue. Your focus is just askew, is all.
