....and for that I thank you. , But at some point, when you have nothing better to do, I'd appreciated it you gave it a read, I'd be interested in your responses
You wouldn't know that from reading most of the threads on GG about Sanchez. Even the Jets' fan base is split on that. But it's an interesting theory you have there. Brady's jealous because Sanchez is better-lookin'... thinking outside the box on that one.
talk about a giant block of shit that no one wants to read. Dude. Take up crochet or something, you need a hobby.
15-3??? 2006 @ Gillette 2009 @ Meadowlands 2010 @ Meadowlands 2011 @ Gillette - play off game There's 4 losses for Brady straight away. and we did them (and Matt Cassell) in 2008 at their place as well, so in recent years we've been much more even.
We also beat them in Foxboro, second to last game in 2002 with Chad Pennington to help win the AFC East. Brady was their QB for that, a Sunday night game. Kicked their ass pretty good if I remember right.
Considering Tom Brady and the Patriots will probably be 37-11 by the end of this season since 2008 and beat both teams during the regular season that knocked them out of the playoffs, I'd say that not having tapes had absolutely no effect and New England was just outplayed in the 2nd/3rd matchups of the season. Sweeping opponents is pretty rare. New England also beat the Giants in the regular season of 2007 and was outplayed in the rematch. I'm really not seeing a drop off in the play of the team judging by their record, especially when they faced and defeated every AFC playoff team (except KC) and the eventual superbowl winners in 2010 on their way to 14 wins without illegal taping and on their way to 13 wins in 2011.
That tends to happen when you have Tom Brady as your quarterback. Look what happened to the Colts without Peyton. The Patriots have about the same talent level as the Colts do and without Brady they would be screwed.
My point was that the Spygate nonsense has not effected the performance of the team, the Pats have lost games against good teams that they had defeated earlier in the season. Sweeping opponents is never easy. If they were 'nothing without the tape' or whatever people want to say, wouldn't they be posting losing seasons every year and not even making the playoffs instead of going 14-2 against the AFC/NFC North?
The Pats are 2-3 in the playoffs since Spygate. In addition their offense has gotten better since Spygate - which involved taping of DEFENSIVE signals as I remember.
To be fair, the Pats team now is built a lot different than the Pats team in 08. I think taking Brady of this team would hurt more than in 08, but not such a dramatic effect as what Manning leaving did to the Colts.
No, I'm talking about the quote in the Boston Herald and Yahoo Sports that said it was a good day because the Jets lost too. Hey, I'm not offended -- I just thought it was sophomoric. You didn't hear Jet fans say it was a good day when Brady went out in Game 1 in 2008 did you ?
+1. Any Jets fan saying that the Jets will beat the Pats in the playoffs is delusional at best. I don't think the Jets beat the Giants this weekend. This team has major issues and it starts with a blowhard coach.
