Gotta agree with this post. I find it amusing that Brady insulted the Jets. Not the least bit offended. We hate the Pats. So do the Jet players from what i gather. So, the Pats hate the Jets? Why should that be a surprise or even offensive?

I love the fact that Brady hates this team. Also love the fact that Pats fans are slaves to his honor.

Honestly not concerned with anything Brady right now. They actually helped us on Sunday. Hopefully we see him again this year and hopefully it ends like it did last year, until then he and the Pats are a non-factor for us.

I'm not sure afraid is the right word, but the Jets have played well against New England since Rex got here. The Jets are .500 against the pats since then if I recall correctly, and one of their wins was a playoff win.

You may want to describe this mythical 'playoff win' concept to him in more detail, as Pats fans have surely forgotten the specifics of such a concept.

They went 14-2 and we knocked them out, so you know he has to hate that. Plus his old girlfriend gave his first son the initials J.E.T., although I'm not sure if that was on purpose. Could have been. :)

You are right, how rude of me. After all, the patriots haven't won a playoff game since 2007 (pre-rex!) while we've won four in the past two years.

Perhaps this will refresh his memory:

Is the OP talking about this quote from Brady's presser?

"There were some good things, there were some things I wish I would have done better," Brady said. "Offensively when we score 41 points, it feels pretty good, everyone was pretty happy on the flight home. I certainly was. It was a very satisfying day and I think you play a team that's won six straight and you go on the road in a very important game, basically for the course of the season to clinch a division title regardless of what the Jets would have done yesterday. There was a lot at stake and we knew going into the week and we prepared hard and to come out of it with the victory, I think everybody in the locker room was pretty pleased. That was the best part of the day, there's no question about that."

A win or a Jets' loss on Sunday would have clinched the division. It doesn't seem unusually obsessive to me that he'd comment on that.

And it's pretty conveniently forgotten that Rex Ryan has, on multiple occasions, randomly brought up the Patriots, even when no one asks him about it. If there's any NE-NY obsession going on, I'm pretty sure the OP's got it backwards. I respect the Jets and would rather not see a third matchup (seeing as how it's usually regarded as very difficult to beat another team three times in one season), but I'm pretty sure NY is still the little brother in this rivalry. At least for now.

Oh yes, my mistake. I was counting our playoff win over them that is coming in a few weeks.

One fluke playoff win does not change the fact that Brady has completely owned the Jets for the last decade.

They do the same thing to Rex that they did to Brady--lift one phrase out of the context to make a headline out of it. They did it to Rex again Monday regarding the Giants.

Regarding the rivalry, the Pats have won the division 9 of 11 years now, so it's natural for Rex (and every other coach in the AFC East) to be gunning for them. I think the fact that the Jets ended his season last year gives Brady more of a chip on his shoulder towards us than years past. The only thing for him to be upset about prior to Rex showing up was the heckling from our fans. And his kid's initials.

You might want to check out the definition of the word "completely" and get back to us. Here's a hint, the root word is "complete".

a fluke is winning by catching a pass w/ your helmet. The Jets walked into Foxboro and pretty much dominated the game, one gatrbage time TD to make it look closer than it was doesn't change that.

Not in 2009, not in 2010. I'd say their sweep of the Rex Ryan era Jets this regular season was the fluke.

I'd kinda like to know the quote that feeds this two-page thread about Brady's obsession is a real quote and not just pulled out of thin air to begin yet another Patriots-Jets pissing contest. Especially in a week where we can have a pissing contest against Giants fans that's just as good. I can find only too references to it on the interwebz. This thread, and one other where this was posted:

That said, it's not like Brady hasn't made his hatred for the Jets absolutely clear in the past.
