Yeah, Skelton's success is more remarkable than Tebow's and Skelton has actually tossed 3 TDs in a game this season, Tebow did it once last season. and it annoys me to no end, when Sanchez staged 4th quarter comebacks against the bills and redskins, and people said he had a little tebow in him. Sanchez has had more 4th quarter comebacks and performed them before Tebow did! Next thing you know, they are going to start saying Brady pulled a Tebow against the Rams in the superbowl.
I did that to a friend of mine who was jamming Teblow's schlong in his mouth, I was like where is the love for John Skelton who was a 5th round pick out of fucking Fordham!!! Skelton is 4-1 and has gotten the Cards back into the playoff race. You take Matt Prater off the Broncos and they've lost 3 of the lats 7 games or whatever their stupid streak is.
except QB's get all the praise because they also get all the criticism. and regardless of whether the defense deserves a tremendous amount of credit, and the end of the day the offense, and Tebow, has had to move the ball and score at the end, and he has succeeded.
I cant stand listening to Skip bayless. He has no opinion on anything, his job is strictly to make a counter argument to what the other person says. He always picks the underdog or for the favorite to choke. Stephen A Smith is just as bad. All he does is talk loud and spew utter garbage that spews he has no clue what he is talking about. $10 says he couldn't tell you what sport Cliff Avril plays
ESPNEWS is okay. I have an old DirecTV subscription package. I like it except it does not include the NBA channel which came into existence after my package went bye-bye (I still get it through a grandfather clause).
 I almost feel bad for Tebow sometimes, because it's not like he's a media whore like Favre or T.O. (though the "Tebowing" is a little egregious.) It's not his fault that his brand of scrappy, Christian whiteness is like catnip to ESPN.
Even the Tebowing thing isn't his fault, hundreds of players look like they're on a knee praying on the sideline, but since the media is so in love with Tebow, they just named it after him and it took off. Talk about a cultural phenomenon.
What's really sad is these same blowhards that are falling all over themselves praising him will go totally ape-shit tearing him down once opposing D's figure out how to stop him and he no longer has those "Magic" comebacks anymore. If there is one thing the modern media likes to do is to build someone up so big that they no longer can live up to the unreal expectations presented, and then tear them down for being mortal. So, how many games does Denver have to lose before the lap dogs turn on Tebow?
One. He sucks tomorrow and Denver loses, then guys like Hoge and Cris Carter will tell everyone that they told us Tebow wasn't any good.
Get the Tivo ready. @AdamSchefter Adam Schefter Must-see TV: ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown will play 10 straight minutes of Tim Tebow miked up from last Sunday's win over Chicago.
And Skip Bayless will blame Elway and Fox for sabotaging him, and say the team around him is terrible.
that is a completely asinine statement and Jet fans should know better. last I checked, the Broncos defense didn't win the game against the Jets. Tebow drove them 95 yards for the winning score. Denver's D has been great, but if the offense doesn't score at the end of the games the defensive performance would be the same but they would have lost those games, so clearly the defense isn't winning the games. the Defense has kept the games winnable, and at the end the offense has won them.
I know deadspin is not espn or si, but this a good article on why people dislike the Tebow Mania that is going on. I cant post links, but its called Why people who hate Tim Tebow hate Tim Tebow and you google for the whole. Heres a quote "No card-carrying Tebow-hater like me has that much of a problem with Tim Tebow as a person. On his own, Tebow is a fairly harmless little goody-goody. And this Broncos run has been fun to watch. I even like it when Eisen and Deion do the TEBOW chant on the postgame show. It's all the bullshit SURROUNDING Tebow that many of us can't stand. It's people like Peter King essentially saying that there's no rational explanation for Tebow's success when there are PLENTY of rational explanations for it, namely the fact that he's a first-round pick blessed with incredible athletic ability."
Yes Tebow drove down the field and won the game, but he only got the chance because his defense silenced the Jets offense all day (and put Tebow in striking distance with a pick 6, although that was as close to an unforced error as you can get on an INT.) Put Tebow on a team with a medioce defense (or a mediocre kicker for that matter) and he'd be 3-3 and we'd still be talking about how he's not accurate enough to play in the league.
