Really? Beating KC doesn't change the odds for me.... Proves we can beat one of the bottom teams in the league at home with a QB that shouldn't be in the league.... Now we get Vick without Jim Leonard. Yesterdays game didn't move me in the least.
What doesn't change is that the Jets still need to Win out or pray with 10 wins..... and played the last real cupcake on the schedule. .... And lost their best Safety and Defensive QB.
Today is a completely different situation than Saturday. On Saturday the Jets needed about 4 teams to lose a game while the Jets were going 4-0. Today the Jets just need to go 3-0 and they're in. With another loss out of 3 teams or so they will get in at 10-6.
And let's hope that Santa makes Houston the 3 seed, and NE the 1. We'd go to Houston. Then NE. And get the winner of the Pitt/Baltimore bloodbath.
We'd need NE to be the 1, we'd be the 6th seed and couldn't play anyone else besides the 1 seed in the div rd so if Bal/Pit gets the 1 seed and we beat Houston(assuming that is how it plays out) then we'd play Bal/Pitt in the div rd.
I typoed that. You are Correct. Houston, we'd dispatch on the road. NE, I'd feel pretty confident if the offense continues to progress. Baltimore would take us lightly, and Pitt is already banged up... Best Road to Indy.
I think most of the regulars made it known what they voted if you look back in the thread. I voted no but I'm happy to appear to be wrong so far.
Is my math wrong?? Hi All, I am under the impression if the Jets win out the rest of the season, regardless of what every other team does we will have secured the 6th and final WC slot? Am I missing something ore some team in the AFC, thanks for the reply
I think Vick being back and the Giants with everything to play for now make the odds much tougher than they were a week ago.
I understand that, but my question is based on the Jets now being at 8 and 5, its just a question I really am not sure, thanks
