1st - fire schotty, promote callahan
2nd - offer Braylon a contract, he's sure to be cheap
3rd - find through either the draft or free agency the best safety
    possible
4th - draft safety, linebacker (inside, outside) rb, oline in that order

    1. Why would you promote Callahan? If Schotty doesn't get a HC job it's likely he will be back based on the extension he signed (in secret).
    2. I don't think Braylon would come cheap and would likely want a long term deal. But I do think our offense would improve with him back in the fold. We are clearly lacking his deep threat ability.
    3. We definitely need to upgrade at Safety.
    4. I'd rather we stayed with the BPA philosophy.

This is just a wish list, and I wish that he would be fired and Callahan was promoted.

1= I think it's simply, Fire Schotty! and find the best fit from there

2= I think at this point he just goes where he can make the most possible money and lives out the rest of his days as a "good" NFL receiver

3- THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS !!!!!!!!!! We need a Safety badly

4- We'll assume Safety is addressed, I think Pass rusher then O-line help would be the order

I understand callahan has prior HC experience and he was with the raiders when gannon had his monster years....but callahan has been around since the beginning of sanchez's career what makes you thinking promoting him internally would change anything about our offense?? I just dont see it making a huge impact

    1. Have no control over this. I went from being a Schotty protector, to hater, and now I am listening to Dilfer's analysis and recent comments by Vinny. Not sold on the idea Schotty is a HUGE problem, but maybe a little bit.

    2. Desean Jackson along side Plax, & Holmes

    3. Free/Cover Safety

    4. BPA

I think Callahan is a proven offensive mind, and we just need someone who can call a game. Also I'd like to see our offense look like his did with raiders, he made Gannon look very good

nobody was denying how gannon went on a tear those years, but im just saying callahan clearly has some influence in the offense now, I just think if we make a change why not change the entire CS around mark? you can keep callahan on the line, but get rid of schotty and cavanaugh and bring in a proven talent and possibly someone like chad as a QB coach.

Also I would love to see either desean or possibly stevie johnson with us next year, i know its a stretch but i think if we could get our hands on forte we take him over both recievers, could u imagine what he would do with sanchez?!? it would be like LT but 6 years ago

For me I see a big fast safety, Pass rusher who can get to the QB and hold the edge, and RB as the top 3 of my list. We have great corners but fail to disrupt the QB far too often.

Sanchez is the same problem we've been putting a band-aid on for almost 3 years now.
It's time to address the problem.

You can't win chamionships hiding your QB, at least not in this pass driven league we have today.

McElroy might be our solution and I wouldn't rule him out by no means. All though steps need to be taken to get a QB on this roster. This team which is a really good team, and one that has the most talent I've seen on it (+ the last 2 years) since I've been a fan, deserves a better chance to win that Sanchez can not deliver.

Myself I truly believe with a slight upgrade at QB we'd have two back-2-back chamionships and on our way to a third. *shrug shoulders*

    McElroy = Chad P part 2.

Its unreql what short memories we have. 2 AFCCG in 2 years. Shackles on a young QB by the CS, and we are ready to kick him to the curb.

I want Sanchez to be booted just to see him get picked up by the Fish and watch him come back and kick this teams ass. Sounds like what Pennington did in 2008. That would be sweet justice for Mark.

Fans of this team need to reach into to their old CD collection and pull out the Guns n Roses cause you guys really need a little patience.

And what makes you think that Callahan "clearly has some influence in the offense", besides coaching the linemen I've yet to hear him have a say in play calling or in teaching Sanchez ANYTHING.

It's his 3rd year though and there's very little improvent from his rookie season he looks almost the same.

Does he have flashes of brilliance? Yes
    Does it ever last? No

He can't see the whole field, he rarely makes a 2nd read let alone anything past that, it's just week in week out poor decisions that our D has to dig our way back out.

Yes, a lot of this has to do with Schotty (and I do want him fired) but at the rate that Sanchez is progressing half of our team is going to be retired by the time he's able to grasp it.

With the running game and Defence we've had the past 2 years I could see plenty of mediocre QB's that would've put us over the top.
For example: maybe the Cowboys drop Romo, I think that's a mediore QB that would fit perfect. Honestly what starting QB in the NFL would be a downgrade from Sanchez if they were on OUR team? (other than Curtis Painter)

    1. Simply standing next to the Offensive Coordinator and maybe giving an opinion does not equate to someone with total control. There is way too much speculation on your part to make any kind of judgement either way. That being said, if you have watched any of Callahan's teams, I think it's evident the offense would be different and probably more quarterback friendly.
How about designing an offense that creates rhythm for our QB who just happens to play better when in rhythm? Imagine that? As it stands right now, we already have a "red zone expert" which shows just how incompetent this dude is anyway.
    2. I don't think it makes sense to find a new QB until we try a new coordinator. I think you try a new coordinator who has had success with average intelligence QBs.

    Sanchez HAS improved. Considerably.

He's already produced more than anyone not named Namath, and this season will put up Pennington like numbers (under this OC).

As the OC improves, Sanchez should improve a little more.

Try to remember he's 4 playing seasons, from being a starter, IN High School.

This guy is still greener than Al Gore pretends to be....

    1. I agree, get rid of Schotty. I don't agree with promoting Callahan though.
    2. I like Braylon, but I'd look elsewhere at this point. I'm worried Braylon is too much of a fuck-up.
    3. Yeah, we need good safeties really badly.
    4. I'd draft O-line first, linebacker, then safety.
    and.....
    5. Possibly spend a high draft pick on a WR if we don't re-sign Plaxico.

gotta love how just about every thread turns into a sanchez debate...

i think we def need to try a new OC... whether its callahan or a new face, we will be able to learn a lot more about sanchez this way.

to say your wishlist right now is to bring in a different QB is idiotic... puts us right back at square one with a very good chance that sanchez succeeds somewhere else and there is egg dripping down all of our faces...

besides the new OC, we need a free saftey, a deep threat WR, O-lineman/O-lineMEN, and a pass rusher
