The cornerback situation in itself is inconsistent. The only one who is consistently dominant is Revis. Our pass rush gives opposing Qbs all day and Cro has still made some nice plays. Sure he gets beat but there are only a handful of corners I would take in Cros place.
sure it is but all things are relative....Cro in the position of CB is inconsistent. He is either lights out or he is getting flagged every other play, getting beat or whiffing on a tackle. It's kind of hard to argue otherwise. This year Cro has been more of a bust then a boom, and honestly for what the Jets are paying him I'd of taken Carlos Rodgers instead. The typical defense of Cro is that, "well he isn't Revis". Nobody is saying or expecting (hopefully) for him to be Revis at all.
Sure hes not Revis but he is way better then most number 2 Cbs we have ever had. He plays soft and we knew that coming in but he has played very well lately. The Brad Smith TD was bad but that was a freak play so I find it hard to hold against him. I also don't remember seeing him getting flagged much if at all lately.
Wilson has been better then average, and let's not forget this is only his 2nd year. If he improves as much next year as he has from last year, we can expect very good things next season from Wilson.
This is one of the most schizophrenic, illogical, disingenuous, and ignorant posts I have ever read. Do you realize what you are saying?? You are saying that Bart Scott, who is clearly a leader on this team, should be cut because his production has slipped and he is getting too old and expensive. In the same post, you are blaming the Jets FO for releasing a slew of old, unproductive, expensive players who you claim should have been retained because they were leaders!!!! Watch the games - Scott is still productive is stopping the run. Period. Meanwhile, Richardson was 40 years old. How many 40 year old players are there in the NFL who don't kick?? Ellis had one good game in his last three years with the Jets and wanted more than the league minimum to stay when he wasn't even worth that. Have they missed Ellis? The young DLs have been much better. Faneca has been gone for almost two seasons and he retired! The Jets were proven right. Jones can't even crack the starting lineup on a Chiefs team that lost their starting running back. Don't you remember how slow he looked two years ago????? Woody admitted he is physically unable to play because of his knee. Ihedigbo?? Seriously? He is the epitome of a JAG. Coleman??? Really??? And where are these players now? The Jets decisions on each one has been proven right. Why haven't other teams scooped up this treasure trove of leadership and talent????? So which is it? Keep the old unproductive expensive guys because they are "leaders" or cut them because they are old and slowing down?? Make up your mind. Eventually all players age and become unproductive. Other players step up to replace them on the field and in the locker room. This team has plenty of leaders,Scott being one of them. Scott being on the team and the list of geriatric has beens you provided that aren't are not close to being the problems with this team. Great analysis and great insight. Let's cut Revis next. He looked slow to me last game. And let's bring back Aaron Glenn to replace him. The Jets never got over the loss of his leadership when he was let go for cap reasons years ago.
Hahahaha really great post. You're totally right. That pos of his was complete garbage. There's really nothing worse than someone going over a list of things he thinks he was right about and then backing it all up with completely illogical crap.
This is because of Battered Jet Fan Syndrome. First we were all dropped on our heads at birth and wound up rooting for the Jets as a result. Then the concussive shocks of Steve Serby, Mark Cannizaro and Rich Cimini's coverage of the team hit us. Finally we wind up most of the time with a battered and bewildered head coach at the podium trying to explain what went wrong this time. It's clearly dementing to the fans.
Bart is fine. He's a MLB and a solid one at that. He's good against the run and a leader.
Solid player, great leader, love his passion for the game. I for one hope that Father Time is not taking its toll.
So Bart Scott just forced a fumble and made a great play on 3rd down knocking a pass away in the flat. What a crappy player.. wahhhh I want him cut, he stinks, wahhh wahhh /28Martin impression
Scott still has gas ion the tank. He didn't just make plays, he made plays w/speed and ferocity. If he decides to wake up for the stretch run, it will be very helpful
Bart had a really good game. Stepped it up in the second half. That means #28 Martin was wrong wrong wrong. You were wrong dude! Everybody reading this thread thinks you were wrong.
