No need for heavy practice right before game. Last thing this team needs is a big injury after doing all the prep work. If some big offensive/defensive player got hurt on Friday, they are so screwed if they're stuck readjusting gameplans for Sunday on such short notice. Last year's big injury in one of the last practice before Pats game, is one of the reasons they kicked Jets butt up & down the field.
We lost Jim Leonhard on a friday practice before the Pats blowout last year. Similar time of year too. No need to get people hurt when you have no time to make adjustments.
Most fans still don't get it. Sure they would like to win but if they don't they still have their millions to take home at the end of the day...what do the fans have? Nothing. It's why they can take it lightly and why the fans question that they do.
I'd rather they have water balloon fights than have Revis going head on with John Connor in a death pit battle on Fridays.
attitude flows downward. Rex and Mark carries themselves with a certain amount of swag and confidence that's inspired the rest of the team. that's how you know you got somebody special.
They need to win every game, yes, but you can't let it be stressful 24/7. All the pats players seem to universally agree that the pressure thy put on themselves to win every game led to their downfall in 07.
I wouldn't care if they formed a flash mob and did a choreographed dance number at the end of practice, so long as they play well and win on Sunday.
What are we talking about? Practice? We're talking about practice, man. We're talking about practice. We're talking about practice. We ain't talking about the game. We're talking about practice, man. When you come to the stadium, and you see the Jets play, you see them play don't you? You've seen them give everything they got, right? But we're talking about practice right now....
