How the HELL do we stack 8 in the box, looking like we blitz all of them, when they have no threat of a passing game?

That's inexcusable. Tebow rushed for 37 yards that drive already to that point on 5 attempts. No reason to think he won't do it more.

Now, it's on Smith and the rest of the defense to make sure Tebow doesn't get outside there. But what the hell is the point of sending everyone? At that point, the goal is first and foremost to prevent a touchdown, hopefully by not allowing another 1st down.

8 men in the box, 6 guys rush in the backfield, Tebow runs outside, around everyone, and we lose the game. There is no reason we should allow a 20-yard RUSHING touchdown by the quarterback. That's an epic failure by this coaching staff, by Rex Ryan, by Mike Pettine, and by this defense.

I don't understand why the defense can suddenly allow a 75-yard drive up to that point to allow a game-tying field goal. But allowing that 20-yard rushing touchdown, and making it SO EASY for him, just makes me want to throw up.

Someone has to be on the 2nd level there. Against a quarterback that is DYING to run the ball, you can't eliminate the 2nd level of tacklers there. Just inexcusable.

Yea, I didn't get that playcall at all. Everyone bit hard into the middle and no one played contain on the edge. Where Tebow is the most dangerous. That was disgusting.

Couldn't agree more, I said it while it was happening...why are you blitzing all out? Terrible defensive call. Rex Ryan has had maybe his worst 2 games ever in the past 2. My god.

I thought Pettine was calling the defense now.

I think that's what sent me over the edge and lead me to my venting post about boycotting watching the Bills game.

The fact that Tebow is very much capable of running to the outside, and you leave, of all people, Eric Smith left to either (attempt to) run him down and make the tackle, or contain him so he goes no where. He obviously didn't do either.

I hate to blame Leonhard, but man, if he wrapped up Royal on the goal line to start the drive, the game is ours.

Yeah, that was unbelievable. Also ridiculous was not using a timeout at the end of the first half after the Broncos couldn't convert on 3rd down.

Yep, Leonhard missed a few plays.

I've been confusing our white safeties. I keep typing Leonhard as the guy who messed up contain, but it was Smith (as I kind of figured in my head).

Smith didnt contain...and the retard that ran on the field gave Denver more time. Which was bs. Maybe they don't blitz.

Leonhard isn't a good enough of an athlete not to get juked out of his shoes right there, at least he, unlike Smith on the TD run or 95% of the time had a good angle on the player. Smith lacks the athleticism or the brains to make up for it somewhat.

The defensive playcall was pathetic. Has no one see Michael Vick play?? Or any running QB?? You bring the house up the middle and they get to the edge, they're gun. There was no reason to blitz at all on that play. With little to no threat of pass, you just contain Tebow and let him get 2-3 yards.

Just a pathetic call in another pathetic game.

The man blew contain. Basic High School Defense mistake. No reason for him to bite inside, but he did.

Rex was asked about the call on that play in the post game presser.
    He didn't answer.

But let us not forget that play means nothing if Sanchez doesn't throw that horrible pick 6.....

Wow that was the worst call in the world... ESPECIALLY vs Tebow!

And on top of that Eric Smith is even slower than Tebow -.-". BTW I don't care how smart he is in terms of "classroom smart"... on hte field he makes bad decision after bad decision.

I agree it was all on Smith he should have had the contain,,,he was more worried about getting to the center of the play and forgot about ensuring Tebow did not get to the outside.

I dont think it was a horrible playcall as much as it was bad execution. On 3rd and 5 I would expect Tebow to run it. I'm guessing they did too. If he beats you passing the ball then so be it. Also, it seemed like all night that is what you guys wanted to do. Stack the box and make him beat you with his arm. I'm guessing you guys just didn't like the blitz, which I can kind of see that. But like I said, I just think it was bad execution rather than play call.

I keep hearing no threat of pass, yet this was the first game Tebow won where he failed to complete a TD pass.

Tebow can pass, fact that he has only one INT in over 120 attempts proves this.

You can't just give a QB all day to throw it inside the red zone. You just can't.

He sucks he is a gimmick QB in a gimmick offense. He will be out of the league in less than 3 years. Die in a fire.
