First off, that D isn't nearly as bad as the #s suggest. Most teams are trailing against them and have to pass to catch up so that skews some of the pas ranking #s. Second, the Giants a week earlier were SHUT OUT in the 1st half. Remember, if Holmes doesn't slip we score a TD on the first drive then we compund that by missing a FG. We also had pressure on our QB, had some bad penalties- this is NOT on the OC. The OC, just like the players, gets his share of the blame but it is asinine to blame it all on the OC or just the OC and QB.
No it won't. If we get some idiot who is worse than Schotty, everyone who wanted Schotty to stay will come back to revive it. This thread will only be retired if we get a new O.C who is better than Schotty.
At this point you have to change OC's. You have too much invested in the qb not to find out if its horrible routes etc. Im not really blaming the playcalling. Its the plays. Perfect example was the when the showed the instant replay of the routes run towards and into the end zone by Burress and Holmes...they were give up routes. Like the play to either DK or LT were the only options. Anyone defending the guy at this point cant really be watching the games and replays or is doing it to piss people off. Its obvious what has to happen. EVEN IF SANCHEZ ENDS UP BEING AVERAGE....you will not truly find out what you have until you get a OC that has the ability to make adjustments on the professional level. End of story.
